EMBRACE THE COMMUNITY
2nd Saturday for Community Involvement invites you to a virtual forum on Monday, Nov. 22nd at 6:30 pm. The forum will focus on the state of Black business. It is the second session in a three-part, "Let's Talk about Black Economics" series. Antonio Harrell, and Earnestine Linder, two of Central's members and business owners are the guest panelist. TOYS FOR TOTS TOY DRIVE

Central's Youth Ministry is sponsoring their annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive on Sunday, December 5th . This is their annual mission project which provides toys to the less fortunate. You can help by donating a new toy and bringing it to the church office during the week or bring it on Sunday, Dec. 5th . Let's support our Youth Ministry in providing Christmas cheer to children in the community.



YEP GIFT CARD CAMPAIGN
Adopt a Family for Christmas



It's the most wonderful time of the year! A time when we show love and generosity to children and families through the Youth Enrichment Program's (YEP) Adopt a Family for Christmas Gift Card Campaign. Thank you for your overwhelming support in 2020! Your support is just as needed in 2021.

Our goal: To raise $3,500. We would love for you to donate $25, $50, $100 or whatever amount you can share. With God's help and your generosity, we can meet that goal!

Wellroot Scholarship Program
Last Year Wellroot awarded $199,000 to 56 students through our Scholarship Program! We’re excited to announce 2022 scholarship opportunities are now available!

The Wellroot Family Services Scholarship Program recognizes students for their community service, academic performance, and demonstrated leadership and participation in school. Awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be granted for the 2022-2023 academic year. 

To apply, students must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2022-2023 academic year. For most awards, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). In addition to the above criteria, some of the funds within this program give preference to those who are or have been in foster care.

Application Portal is now open. Deadline for applying is December 13, 2021. To apply for Wellroot Scholarships please go to https://wellroot.org/scholarships/.

Up to fifty-eight (58) awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be granted. Award amounts will vary based on the designated funds. Awards are limited to one award per student per year and are for undergraduate and graduate study only.
