A Message from Your New Rector
July 12, 2026
Dear Friends of Christ Church,
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:2)
It is with deep joy and profound gratitude that I write to you today. I have accepted the call to serve as your Rector, and I will join you at Christ Church beginning July 12. From the moment I first heard about this community, I sensed the unmistakable movement of the Holy Spirit drawing us together. I believe with my whole heart that God is doing something beautiful here, and I am honored to walk this road with you.
Scripture reminds us that God's purposes are never thwarted by seasons of change or uncertainty. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord speaks tenderly to a people in transition: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." That promise is as alive today as it was when it was first spoken. God has not forgotten Christ Church. He is attentive to every prayer lifted up in this place, every act of service rendered in His name, every tear, and every song of praise.
I come to you not as a stranger to the Christian journey, but as a fellow pilgrim who has learned to trust the faithfulness of God around every bend in the road. I come eager to listen, to learn, and to love. I come ready to preach the Word, to celebrate the sacraments, and to sit with you in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of life. I believe the church is most fully herself when she is gathered at the Lord's Table, sent out into the world, and woven together by genuine bonds of love.
The season before us is full of promise. In Isaiah 43:19, God declares: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." I invite you to come with open hands and open hearts, ready to perceive what the Lord is opening before this congregation. The best chapters of Christ Church's story are still being written.
Between now and July 12, please know that you are already in my prayers. I am lifting each of you, and this whole community, before the throne of grace. I look forward to worshiping with you, breaking bread together, and growing in the knowledge and love of God side by side.

Queridos amigos de Christ Church,
Gracia y paz a ustedes de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. (Filipenses 1:2)
Es con profunda alegría y enorme gratitud que les escribo hoy. He aceptado el llamado a servir como su Rector, y me uniré a ustedes en Christ Church a partir del 12 de julio. Desde el primer momento en que escuché hablar de esta comunidad, sentí el movimiento inconfundible del Espíritu Santo acercando nuestros corazones. Creo con toda mi alma que Dios está haciendo algo hermoso aquí, y es un honor para mí caminar este camino junto a ustedes.
Las Escrituras nos recuerdan que los propósitos de Dios nunca son frustrados por temporadas de cambio o incertidumbre. En Jeremías 29:11, el Señor habla con ternura a un pueblo en transición: "Porque yo sé los planes que tengo para ustedes, declara el Señor, planes de bienestar y no de calamidad, para darles un futuro y una esperanza." Esa promesa está tan viva hoy como cuando fue pronunciada por primera vez. Dios no ha olvidado a Christ Church. Él está atento a cada oración elevada en este lugar, a cada acto de servicio rendido en su nombre, a cada lágrima y a cada cántico de alabanza.
Vengo a ustedes no como un extraño al camino cristiano, sino como un peregrino más que ha aprendido a confiar en la fidelidad de Dios en cada curva del camino. Vengo con el deseo de escuchar, de aprender y de amar. Vengo listo para predicar la Palabra, para celebrar los sacramentos y para estar presente con ustedes en los momentos ordinarios y extraordinarios de la vida. Creo que la iglesia es más plenamente ella misma cuando se reúne en la Mesa del Señor, es enviada al mundo y está tejida por lazos genuinos de amor.
La temporada que tenemos por delante está llena de promesa. En Isaías 43:19, Dios declara: "¡He aquí que yo hago algo nuevo! Ya está brotando, ¿no lo perciben? Abro un camino en el desierto y ríos en la soledad." Los invito a venir con las manos abiertas y los corazones abiertos, dispuestos a percibir lo que el Señor está abriendo ante esta congregación. Los mejores capítulos de la historia de Christ Church aún están por escribirse.
De aquí al 12 de julio, sepan que ya están en mis oraciones. Estoy elevando a cada uno de ustedes, y a toda esta comunidad, ante el trono de la gracia. Espero con ansias adorar con ustedes, partir el pan juntos y crecer en el conocimiento y el amor de Dios, lado a lado.
