Sunday School:We are excited to begin a new year of Sunday School for all children on Sunday, September 8th! Below you will find the Room assignments for all children during the Sunday School hour (9:50-10:50am). You should also receive a copy of your child's room assignment in the mail in the coming days. We are especially excited to begin a new model of Sunday School for our elementary aged children. Similar to Summer Sunday School, we will be using a "large group/small group" curriculum. Children will begin together for an engaging large group time, and then break down into smaller groups for further learning and activities. For the Fall, elementary schoolers will meet in the basement and will ultimately move into the Children's Multi-Purpose big room once it is completed in the upcoming renovations project.

Nursery: Room 303

2's: Room 302

3's/4's: Room 301

K-5th: Basement

Kids's Worship: Kids Worship will launch on September 8th from K-5th Grade Children. Children will begin in worship with their families and will be invited to leave the worship space with a Kid's Worship leader prior to the sermon. Children who attend the 9:00am Contemporary Service will be returned to their parents in the worship space during the last song. Children who attend the 11:00am or 11:15am service should be picked up in the Chapel at the conclusion of the service.

Nursery for 0-24 months is available during all worship services in Room 303. Worship Care for 2's-PreK Children is available during all worship services in Room 304.

Welcome Wednesday: Welcome Wednesday begins on Wednesday, September 11th. You can make a reservation by clicking HERE at 5:30pm. Welcome Wednesday classes for the whole family will begin on September 18th. Welcome Wednesday classes are from 6:30-7:30

Musikgarten: The Musikgarten curriculum is designed to teach language development, self expression, memory skills, concentration, social interaction, fine motor skills, listening, problem solving, teamwork, coordination, and more through music and movement education. Please welcome Jennifer Oliver to the Children's Ministry Team! Jennifer has been on CUMC Staff since July 2018. She came to us from our Glenwood Campus where she served as the Church Administrator. Jennifer will now be serving as the Children's Ministry Assistant. She will also continue to serve as the Youth Ministry Assistant. On Sunday's, Jennifer is involved on our Glenwood Campus-but I encourage you to stop by and say hello if you are around the Holden Road Campus of CUMC during the week.

Lynn Long's staff role has changed to now include assistance to missions, as well as other office administration tasks. She will continue to serve at the Adult Discipleship Assistant and will continue to schedule Nursery Care. She will no longer be serving in the Children's Ministry Assistant--but you will still be part of the Children's Ministry Team as she continues to coordinate Nursery care. Please take the opportunity to thank Lynn for her years of selfless service to the Children's Ministry of Christ Church.

Upcoming Events

Elementary Ministry Kick-Off: Sunday, September 8th from 5-7pm on the Christ UMC Patio. There will be a bounce-house, games, heavy snacks, KONA Ice truck, and info about the upcoming year! This is a drop-in event. All K-5th Graders and their families are invited. Childcare will be provided for younger siblings.

Medical Release for Children

Food Allergy Database

We are in the process of updating our database of children who have food allergies and their action plans. If you have not let us know of your child's food allergy or action plan, please let us know so that we can add it to our database and train our volunteers on how to keep your child safe while they are participating in ChristKids Activities
