K-LOVE Interview: We The Kingdom Is Confident Help Is on the Way on ‘Rescue Me’

("Rescue Me" by We The Kingdom,

from their album, "Dear Jesus,"
is up to #5 on this week's CCM charts)

<<We The Kingdom exudes unshakable confidence on their new single, “Rescue Me.” The collective’s Martin Cash reveals he actually started writing the track when he was in high school and recently completed it with his bandmates for the group’s new seven-song collection, “Dear Jesus.” Since welcoming his son, the idea of rescue has taken on an entirely different meaning for the first-time father.

<<“I think about making that 911 call. You don’t hear the sirens when you’re waiting to be rescued. You know help is on the way, but you don’t hear the evidence of it. And, I think that has to break God’s father heart,” Martin told K-LOVE afternoon show host Lauree during a recent interview. “We don’t feel the urgency of God’s saving grace all the time, but that does not mean that He is not readily on the way and doing everything He can to get to us.”

<<Heavy drums, electric guitars and prominent banjo drive the undeniable rock feel of “Rescue Me” from the first downbeat. Martin, who is normally behind the drum kit, helms rare lead vocals on the song’s second stanza; while his dad, Ed Cash, assumes lead on the initial verse. Meanwhile, a trio of background singers helps affirm the message behind the fiery original, which uses the story in the Bible of David and Goliath to exemplify how God’s arrival comes right on time and, often, in the most unexpected of ways. Yet, no matter the scenario, the end of the story is the same: God always shows up.

Author Joshua Giles "Shift Your Life"

(Joshua Giles' new book,

“Shift Your Life: Let Go of Survival Mode, Seize Your Moment, and Build the Future You Were Created For" Entered last month's ECPA Christian Books Bestseller's List at #6)

<<"Every day does not have to be a struggle. Walking with Christ should not feel like living in survival mode," author Joshua Giles said on CBN. "God-given moments can seem small, but they always carry exponential impact. One decision can shift the course of your life".

<<A cornerstone of the book’s philosophy is learning to interpret spiritual seasons accurately, teaching readers to distinguish between their "night" and "day" seasons.

<<Giles noted that, when the world is plunged into economic and social turmoil, believers must shift their internal perspective to hear the Holy Spirit clearly.

<<"Shifting one's life in the midst of chaos involves going to scripture for instruction," Giles advised CBN viewers, pointing specifically to the guidance of Psalm 16:7.

<<"It requires seeking God's face through prayer and consecration, and pulling away from the surrounding chaos to understand God's plan. A crucial aspect of shifting is changing one's mindset from questioning why difficult things happen to asking what can be learned from the situation," Giles said.

<<Joshua urged viewers to stop waiting for perfect external conditions before choosing to act. "When you respond, heaven moves," Giles declared. "Be honest about your struggles, because life involves both difficult and blessed seasons. Go in God's presence; that's where true strength resides".

Beyond The Melody: Jason Nelson on the Spiritual Breakthrough of His #1 Gospel Hit, "Made New"

(Jason Nelson's "Made New" from his album, "You Belong - Live in Durham," is at #1 on this week's Billboard Gospel Music chart.)

<<"It takes time to create and truly figure out what you’re saying, and what God is saying to you," Nelson explained. "‘Made New’ is a song about liberation. It tells people they don’t have to be bound by their past mistakes or previous seasons. Through Christ, the old is entirely gone".

<<The magic of "Made New" traces back to a late-night scroll on social media, where Jason stumbled across a short clip of independent R&B/soul singer Madison Ryann Ward. "I saw a post Madison made singing an acoustic snippet of a Jonathan McReynolds song," Nelson recalled. "Those 45 seconds instantly made me a fan. I tracked down her music, reached out to her team, and asked if she’d be willing to fly out for a live recording. She agreed on the spot".

<<"The album is called "You Belong" because it reminds people that nothing in your life is too much, too broken, or too far gone for God to save and revive. Once you realize you've been revived, you realize you will always have a home in Him".
