Bethel Music's

Brian & Jenn Johnson,

"Holy Forever"

(Bethel Music's "We Must Respond" Worship & Ministry Nights Tour Will Be

At the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre in Atlanta on Monday, October 21st)

Q: We're here with Brian & Jenn Johnson from Bethel Music. You wrote so many impactful worship songs including "Holy Forever." You write these songs and God uses them beyond belief.

Brian: It's special. How it's intertwined...the God story behind a lot of songs...it's awesome. There's gifting and crafting. But a lot of orchestrating. It's fun to see God through all of it. f feels fulfilling to write songs for the church that the church wants to sing.

Jenn: Live is our bread and butter, but I think that I love to do new songs in a creative way, either in the studio or something like this, and then redo the songs live so they translate well for the Church. Because that's where we live!

We love all the music, but songs that translate for Sunday, that's our pride and joy in a huge way.

Q: Speaking of “Holy Forever,” (Co written with Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham and Jason Ingram. It was #1 for six weeks, Grammy-nominated and certified Gold.

How does it feel to have this song reach beyond the walls of the Church? And why do you think that is the song that is being chosen out of all of them right now?

Jenn: I mean, I'm glad it is, not only because it's our song that we're a part of, but I'm glad it is because… Holy Forever? Are you kidding? As a song title alone, “Holy Forever” wins.

That’s amazing in it of itself: that there’s not humanity in the message behind the song. It really just is this heaven, awe and wonder, worship song. It’s eternal and epic.

Brian: And that word. thousand: a thousand generations. It means forever; it’s eternal generations. So not just a thousand! It's kind of like the idea of heaven with a 1,000 generations, every generation since.

Jenn: There’s this idea of not only the heaven that we go to one day, but the heaven that is the here and now of knowing Jesus.

Q; If you were to give a piece of advice to a younger version of yourselves just entering music, what would that be?

Brian: I would say write songs for the church, I think God really honors that.

Jenn: Just get planted into a local church. I think that's really important and keeps you grounded in what God's saying and doing. Keeps you normal.

Atlanta Gospel Artist

LATRICE PACE

#1 Song, "It's Morning" Knows Where She's Been... And Where She's Going

When Atlanta gospel singer and songwriter Latrice Pace belts out the show-stopping “I Know Where I’ve Been” during performances of the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray, the lyrics are likely to hold personal meaning for her.

A member of the Anointed Pace Sisters (nicknamed the First Family of Gospel), Latrice has experienced her share of life’s peaks and valleys. Recent peaks include two 2024 Stellar Award nominations: Song of the Year for “It’s Morning” and Contemporary Artist of the Year. “It’s Morning” was named one of the top gospel songs of 2023 by the Journal of Gospel Music. It's currently in its second week at #1 on Billboard's Gospel Music charts.

The valleys, on the other hand, found Latrice caring for her ailing mother Bettie Ann and then her ailing sisters Duranice and LaShun, also of the Anointed Pace Sisters. Bettie died in 2018, Duranice in 2021, and LaShun in 2022.

“I navigated those losses with faith, knowing that God doesn’t make mistakes,” Latrice told us. “It was just trusting him and knowing it will work out for good—not for my good—but for the overall good of his purpose.”

She added: “I realize now that he allowed us to go through that loss so that we can be there for others in their time of loss. It made me more compassionate, more sympathetic and empathetic. That’s all he wants – for us to be compassionate.”

It’s Morning” is based on Psalm 143:8 (“Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning”). “It is a simple prayer,” Latrice said. “Let me hear your voice, guide me, let me know that you’re still with me. The song resonates with so many people because all of us are dealing with something and long for tomorrow to look and feel different.”

The Stellar-nominated song is from Latrice’s latest album, "Exodus: The Journey of Obedience, Volume 2.".

More than 100M people of faith could sit out 2024 election: study

As many as 104 million people of faith, including 32 million self-identified Christians who regularly attend church, are unlikely to vote in the upcoming 2024 presidential election on Nov. 5 mainly due to lack of interest, research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows.

The findings of the study released Monday by longtime Evangelical pollster George Barna and his team of researchers are based on data collected in two related surveys of a national sample of 2,000 U.S. adults during August and September 2024.

One of the surveys focused on adults who self-identified as Christians and attend church at least once per month.

Researchers found that voter enthusiasm in 2024 is significantly lower than what it was in 2020.

Over half (57%) of the respondents in the study said they dislike all the major candidates, while 55% felt none of the candidates reflect their most important views.

Author JONATHAN CAHN

Talks To TBN About His #1 Best Seller, "The Dragon's Prophecy" Pointing to the War in Israel & the End Times

(Best Selling Christian Author and Speaker, Jonathan Cahn's

"The Dragon's Prophecy: Israel, the Dark Resurrection, and the End of Days"

entered the Christian Booksellers'

Top 50 list this month at #1.).

Jonathan Cahn sits down with Erick Stakelbeck on TBN's Praise to discuss his brand new book, "The Dragon's Prophecy", and share incredible prophecy pointing towards the war in Israel and the end times.

Q: "The Dragon's Prophecy" is unlike any book you've ever written. Tell us why?

JC: Yeah, it's kind of amazing to think about. But, I have never written a book about Israel and the end times in general. I speak about prophetic things to happen.

In fact, I was working on the sequel to the "The Return of the Gods" when the Lord interrupted me. I actually saw a dragon in my head. And that was the beginning.

This is the only book where I'm actually working on it and it's happening in the world what I'm writing. So, I had to keep coming back to the book and rewriting because it kept happening.

Everything we're watching, there is a real spiritual war behind it. We're all part of it. And, if you're a believer...even more so.

Also, the war is not only with Israel and the world, but it's also the church and each of our lives

There's one mystery here that actually may enable us to allow us to know exact events yet to come down to when exactly they're going to happen

Q&A with author

CHRIS FABRY,

author of the film novelization, "The Forge"

(Christian Author Chris Fabry's

Novelization, "The Forge," Bible Study, based on the motion picture by

The Kendrick Brothers, entered #1

on this month's Christian Booksellers'

Christian Fiction list).

"The Forge" is about the power of prayer, the transformation only God can achieve, and the lasting influence one person can have on others. Chris Fabry has collaborated with Athens, Georgia's Alex and Stephen Kendrick on several best selling books including "The War Room," "Facing The Giants," "Overcomer," and "Lifemark."

Without giving too much away,

can you tell us a little bit about

the storyline of "The Forge"?

The novel is slightly different from the film because it shows more of the story of Isaiah’s mother, Cynthia, as she struggles to love her son well and give him a vision for manhood. We learn a lot of the backstory of these two in the novel and see the effects of an absent father on the heart of a young man. When Isaiah comes into contact with a business owner who sees something in him, the story takes off.

How is writing a novelization different

or similar to your writing process

for your other novels?

I like to say that the Kendricks make all the hard choices with plot and characters, so they put up the fence and I get to play in the pasture. I have the basic outline and dialog for the story, but I get to follow my curiosity. So you will see more backstory and material about the major characters in the novel simply because there is more time to explore that than there is in the film.

Understanding the Importance of Voting

By Jim Daly,

President of Focus on the Family

I don’t believe I’m overstating things when I say that the upcoming election is the most important in recent memory. There is a lot at stake!

In America, we’re blessed with a government that, Abraham Lincoln said, is “of the people, by the people, and, for the people.” But our system of government is only effective when citizens participate in the election process and vote. Christians especially have a responsibility to vote for candidates who uphold biblical values. Our duty is not to “Christianize” the government, or politics, or the social order. But we are called to be faithful to the Gospel in how we vote.

And yet, our Daily Citizen team estimates that 25 million Christians in the United States don’t vote consistently. That’s one out of every three believers. Imagine how the course of our nation would change if each of us as followers of Christ honored God through our vote.

I’ve invited John Stonestreet and Tim Goeglein to join me on Focus on the Family with Jim Daly to discuss why your vote on November 5 is so important.

John Stonestreet is the President of The Colson Center and author of the book "A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Today’s World." Tim Goeglein is the Vice President of External Relations in our D.C. office for Focus on the Family. He is the author of "American Restoration: How Faith, Family, and Personal Sacrifice Can Heal Our Nation."
