That is the message Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) powerhouse Micah Tyler wants listeners to take away from his hit single, “Perfectly,” which recently received an upgrade featuring veteran vocalist Colton Dixon.
<<The track has quickly captured the top spots on Christian radio formats. In a candid sit-down interview reflecting on the song's success, Micah pulled back the curtain on the vulnerable origins of the track and what it was like welcoming Dixon into the creative fold.
<<According to Tyler, the inspiration for "Perfectly" came directly from battling the modern landscape of comparison and the unrealistic standards people broadcast online. Tyler admitted to fighting a desire for perfection while constantly comparing his life to the curated images seen on social media. He explained that the song addresses the anxiety of that comparison and the realization that God’s love provides relief when human efforts fall short.
<<The Power of Collaboration - "I've never been happier to be the second best singer on a song," says Tyler. While "Perfectly" began as a solo effort, Micah felt compelled to turn it into a duet, inviting friend and American Idol alumnus Colton Dixon to contribute his distinct vocals to the production.
<<Tyler expressed his appreciation for Dixon’s contribution to the single. The collaboration was met with enthusiasm from industry voices, with Fair Trade Radio highlighting it as a timely message on being loved.

<<"My wife has this annual conference, and she asked me to write her a song," JJ explained during his radio appearance, flashing a smile as he recalled the track's origins. "That’s how "Nothing Else" was born."While the composition was an immediate hit within their home congregation at The Gathering Place in Washington, D.C., Trina Hairston was initially hesitant to take the song to the global stage. "She sang it beautifully, but said she didn’t want to perform it again," Hairston shared.
