| | | JOSIAH QUEEN, BRANDON LAKE "Can't Steal My Joy" | |
("Can't Steal My Joy" the collaboration between Josiah Queen and Brandon Lake, is holding steady at #3 this week on Billboard's CCM charts)
<<Contemporary Christian music artists Josiah Queen and Brandon Lake have teamed up on a new worship anthem, “Can’t Steal My Joy,” a song that is quickly resonating with church communities and radio audiences alike. It's on Josiah's current album, "Mt. Zion." The collaboration blends Queen’s youthful, soulful tone with Lake’s trademark passion and power, creating a track that celebrates perseverance in faith.
<<“The moment I first heard the demo, I knew it carried a word that people needed to hear,” Queen said.. “We live in a time where so much is trying to take our peace, our hope, but joy in Christ is something that can’t be taken away.”
<<Lake echoed the message, explaining that the song reflects a personal place of victory in his own life. “We wanted this to be more than just a melody,” Brandon shared. “It’s a declaration. No matter what storms come, joy rooted in Jesus is untouchable.”
<<The two artists wrote the song with modern worship settings in mind, ensuring it could work as both a personal anthem and a congregational declaration. “It’s upbeat, celebratory, but with real depth,” Queen explained. “We imagine thousands of voices singing it together, reminding themselves and each other that the enemy cannot steal what God has given.”
<<Fans have reacted strongly online. One listener posted, “This song isn’t just music—it’s medicine for the soul.” Another wrote, “Hearing Josiah and Brandon together feels like a joyful revival moment.”
<<Lake noted that collaboration with younger voices like Queen is critical to the growth of contemporary Christian music. “Josiah brings a fresh hunger and sound,” Brandon said. “Pairing that with the message of hope and resilience made this project incredibly special.”
<<With its driving rhythm and message of unstoppable joy, “Can’t Steal My Joy” is positioned to join the ranks of modern worship staples. Both artists expressed their prayer that the song will not only inspire congregations but also strengthen individuals in daily struggles.
<<“Joy is our inheritance in Christ,” Queen said. “This song is our reminder: no circumstance, no fear, nothing in this world can steal what God has given us.
<<Before his rise to fame, Josiah worked humble jobs, including cleaning the church he grew up in, all while fervently praying for his musical dreams to come to fruition. Now, his poignant perspectives musically resonate strongly online, amassing millions of views on platforms like TikTok.
<<Brandon is also on the charts with the #2 song, "I Know A Name," recorded with Elevation Worship..Josiah also shows up at #21 with "Dusty Bibles."

BRI BABINEAUX
"Confident"
| |
(Bri Babineaux's single, "Confident,"
is up 4 spots to #3 this week on Billboard's Gospel Music charts)
<<31-year old gospel singer, Bri Babineaux, was born in Hawaii but moved to Lafayette, Louisiana when she was an infant. The social media singing sensation carries an impressive digital footprint with a combined total of over 1M followers across all her platforms. Currently Bri serves as the Assistant Worship Director alongside Pastor Tim Bowman Jr. at Spirit of Faith Christian Center in Maryland.
<<Known for her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Babineaux shared her inspiration behind her hit single "Confident." Reflecting on the song's meaning, she said, "I’m at a place that’s both scary and exciting. On one hand, I’m out here on my own. But, then again, with God, I’m never alone. I’m just exploring new opportunities. I’m stretching myself as an artist, I’m pursuing some enterprises and I’m also raising my son Eli."
<<She emphasized the song's theme of faith and resilience with these words: "I’m confident that God has got my back and is charting my path." The upbeat anthem delivers a message of self-assurance rooted in divine grace, as Bri sings in the lyrics, "Keep on playin’ in my face, you gon’ have to quit... Blame these blessings on His grace, yeah I'm confident."
<<Bri explained how the song also represents her personal journey through challenges like her recent divorce and becoming a single mother, saying, "'Confident' isn’t just a song for me. It’s my new mantra." The track fuses contemporary R&B and gospel influences, co-written with Makeba Riddick and produced by Slikk Muzik.
<<With over 200 million digital streams and recognition from major artists like Kanye West and Drake, Bri Babineaux stands as a shining example of faith-filled artistry. She concludes with, "I keep my head up, yes I’m confident. Always up, never stuck—that’s the way it is."
<<"Confident" is not just an uplifting gospel song—it is a declaration of strength, hope, and trust in God's plan through all of life’s transitions. Bri’s inspiring message invites listeners to find confidence in their own spiritual journeys.

Want Cash Back? Try the 10 Best Apps to Make Money
<<1. Honey: When it comes to the best apps to make money, Honey is one of the easiest out there. Honey is a free tool that scours the internet to search for deals, discounts and promo codes on whatever you’re shopping for. Honey automatically applies coupons to your online shopping cart and gives you cash back with Honey Gold—just for making purchases you would normally make.
<<When you’re shopping online, Honey shares alerts to let you know if you’re getting the best deal. And when you check out, it automatically applies coupons for you. Honey also has a feature called Droplist. If you’ve been eyeing a pair of Apple AirPods Pro but don’t want to pay full price, add them to Droplist, and it’ll notify you when they’re on sale. To date, I’ve saved over $5,000 on purchases and received $175 in cash back using Honey. Not too shabby.
<<You can download Honey as a browser extension on Chrome or Safari, or you can use the app. They also have a Honey Mobile Safari extension that works on your iPhone. Pretty sweet, right?
<<2. Rakuten: The best thing about Rakuten is earning up to 45% cash back while shopping at your normal stores, just by using Rakuten’s website link for shopping online. They’ll let you cash out your rewards every three months by sending them to your PayPal account or cutting you a paper check.1 So far, Rakuten has paid over $3 billion in cash back to their members.2
<<If you’re using the browser extension on your computer, Rakuten will show you when another site has a cheaper price on the item you’re looking at. For instance, I looked up a pair of shoes on Nike, and Rakuten shared that I can get the same pair at Shoe Carnival for $6 cheaper. Score! Plus, if you sign up, you can get 10% cash back on purchases for your first seven days.3
<<And if you think you can’t earn cash back while shopping in person, you thought wrong. Just link the offer to your debit card and pay with your debit card in the store. Easy enough, right? But remember: Never spend just to save. Only buy what you’ve budgeted for!

Comedian John Crist:
Tornado Trailers,
Tonight Show Tales &
Rehab Real Talk
| |
(John Crist grew up in the Atlanta suburb of Lilburn. His dad is Mayor Johnny Crist)
<<John Crist, who recently got engaged in Nashville, once quipped in a recent interview, “If you’re going to tell someone the truth, make it funny or they’ll kill you.” Well, that’s exactly what life feels like sometimes—a tornado in a trailer park, spinning madly, knocking over everything in sight, and giving us just enough time to laugh or cry.
<<Picture this: John Crist gets invited to join his girlfriend’s family group chat—a true modern-day milestone, right? “Big news for me," John shares, "We're not engaged yet, but I did get invited to join the family chat.” Naturally, it’s an adventure: “My girlfriend brings me a photo and asks, ‘Do you think this girl’s hot?’ I said, ‘No.’” The storm of texts begins, but John’s got the comedic calm to handle it.
<<Meanwhile, outside the family chat, an actual tornado is making its rounds. From the Tornado Trailers archives come the classics: “It’s gonna take all them houses!” and the urgent, “Do not drive through this. DO not drive.” Honestly, those tornado videos are the original reality TV, with more drama and suspense than any late-night monologue could match.
<<Speaking of late-night, Johnny Carson’s wisdom from The Tonight Show rings true: “I have enjoyed every single minute of it.” Even when he said farewell with “I am taking the applause sign home, putting it in the bedroom,” it’s the perfect way to say, “I survived this whirlwind with a smile”.
<<But let’s not forget the whirlwinds inside us all. Rehab Real Talk reminds that recovery is tough but hopeful: “Each of us is more than the worst thing we’ve ever done,” and “every day is a chance for a fresh start—leave regrets behind and move forward to a sober future.” It’s like rebuilding after a tornado—you don’t just stand there, you dance in the debris with a smirk.
<<And that’s life, really. Tornadoes of chaos mixed with moments of comic relief and the gritty work of healing. John Crist nailed it: “No comedian would ever be like, ‘I’m the man’ because we’re so heavily reliant on the crowd.” So, when the world spins madly, all anyone can do is hold on, laugh at the absurdity, and take the next step forward.

| Amanda Jenkins " The Stronghold of the Chosen: An Interactive Bible Study, Season 5" | |
("The Stronghold of the Chosen: An Interactive Bible Study, Season 5" by Amanda Jenkins, Dallas Jenkins and Douglas S. Hoffman" entered the Christian Booksellers' Top 50 list this month at #9)
<<Amanda Jenkins, co-author of The Chosen Bible studies, shared insights into the new Season 5 Bible study titled "The Stronghold of the Chosen" in a revealing interview. She described the process of crafting these studies as “a prayerful process because we don’t want the Bible studies to supplement the show—meaning the show is not the higher thing, the higher thing is Scripture. We use the show to supplement what we study from Scripture, but it really is Bible study”.
<<Talking about the new Season 5 study, Amanda revealed that the study theme closely follows the moments leading up to Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, which she called “the core of the next Bible study and the centerpiece of the season”.
<<Reflecting on what she personally learned through writing these studies, Jenkins explained, “I’m always learning something new about God’s character—even if it’s a scripture I’ve read many times. The seasons of writing keep teaching me life lessons, especially on suffering and God’s goodness in the midst of hardship”. She expressed how the previous Season 4 study helped her grow in faith amid personal suffering, stating, “I’m learning God’s goodness in spite of answers I don’t like. His presence is enough. I’ve experienced a renewal of hope because of who I’m hoping in”.
<<Amanda emphasized that the Bible studies are rooted directly in Scripture, which is the main foundation: “We’re studying the Bible, not the show. If the show doesn’t point people back to Scripture, we’ve failed”. showing her passion for deepening viewers’ understanding of God’s Word beyond the TV screen.
<<With "The Stronghold of the Chosen," the hope is to guide readers to Jesus as a refuge in hard and confusing times. The Bible study invites participants to find a "safe place in Jesus" and to trust Him as their stronghold in life’s challenges.

Speaking Peace into Chaos in a Troubled Culture
By Jim Daly,
President of Focus on the Family
<<In light of the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, Jim Daly speaks with Brant Hansen and Gabe Lyons about what this means for our culture and the Christian response to violence and hate. The conversation points to Scripture for the answers in this cultural moment, emphasizing our responsibility to share God’s truth, love, and peace to the chaos of the world.
<<Brant Hansen is a nationally syndicated radio host, podcaster, and advocate for healing children with correctible disabilities through CURE International. He is the author of several books, including "Unoffendable, Blessed Are the Misfits" and "The Men We Need."
<<John Fuller: Jesus said in John chapter 7, “The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it, that its works are evil.” Well, those words from Jesus seem so appropriate in this moment as we consider how to show Christ to our culture.
<<Jim Daly: I appreciate that reference because it seems like we are at an inflection point. Last week, we had terrible tragedy with this young Christian leader, conservative leader, Charlie Kirk. He was 31 years old, married not long ago, has two adorable children, and was shot down at a university campus because he was speaking about those things that are dominantly biblical.
<<Brant: What I heard from some of his friends was that he just kept getting better at what he was doing over time. Jim: Hmm. Brant: And I think that’s really interesting. He was so young. And I just recently heard an interview with him; I just heard a bit on social media of him with Tucker Carlson. And Tucker was like, “How does this not drive you crazy? All this stuff that’s happening?” He’s like, it doesn’t drive me crazy ’cause I expect it. We’re in a spiritual battle. And he started talking about this spiritual battle we’re in and loving our enemies. I’m like, I don’t know that at 31 I could have gotten close to that.
