Seven-time GRAMMY winner TOBYMAC
Joins K-LOVE's Lauree for an Exclusive Interview. Talk About #3 Song, "Cornerstone" Featuring Zach Williams
During a recent visit to the K-LOVE Studios, the seven-time GRAMMY winner sat down with K-LOVE DJ Lauree.

TobyMac continues to dedicate plenty of time to his music, and the pair discussed his album, “Life After Death,” which currently has the #3 song on Billboard's CCM charts, "Cornerstone," featuring Zach Williams.

The project that was born after the passing of his son, Truett, in 2019. That tragedy left TobyMac and his family wrought with grief, but out of the shadows has come triumph once more, a truth that is revealed during this uplifting conversation.

“I think it either brings you together or pulls you apart, and I can sit here in front of the whole world and say I'm so grateful that it's brought us together,” TobyMac said. “I wouldn't want anyone to have to walk through it, but I'm glad that the love that surrounded us from our community first here in Franklin [Tennessee], the people that love us, and the people that we love, and then even to the people that are listening right now or watching.
"I'm so grateful for their prayers, and I can honestly say that there wasn't a moment that we didn't feel surrounded by love. Not a moment. And I'm grateful for that. I really am.”

The album features the voices of Blessing Offor, Zach Williams, Sheryl Crow, Tauren Wells, Sarah Reeves, Jon Reddick, Cory Asbury, TobyMac’s daughter Marlee and many more.

“I’ve always dreamed of doing a collaborative record – a record of collaborations,” said TobyMac, whose real name is Kevin Michael McKeehan. “And I thought this would be a better time than any because I feel like maybe I needed a little help from my friends to make it through it. After what I’ve experienced and losing my firstborn, I just think people came alongside me and helped me – helped me maybe sing some of the things that were hard for me to sing, and maybe made me a little stronger.

TIM BOWMAN, JR. Tops Gospel Charts With "Jesus!"
Tim Bowman Jr. is #1 this week on Billboard's Gospel Music charts with his single, "Jesus!" from from "Welcome To Faith City" featuring Atlanta's Le'Andria Johnson.

"I couldn't be more thrilled with the reception of my first single with Faith City Music and Le'Andria, Bowman told Billboard. "It was spawned from a teaching lesson from our pastor, Dr. Mike Freeman. We just took what we do every week at our local church and let the world in on it."

Freeman is lead pastor at the Spirit of Faith Christian Center in Washington, D.C. Tim and his wife, Brelyn are ordained as pastors at the church.

"Jesus!" marks Tim's second #1 gospel song ("I'm Good" in 2016.) Two other top ten hits include "Fix Me" in 2017 and Tim's aunt, Vicki Winans,' "How I Get Over You" in 2009.

Bowman's father, a noted jazz and gospel artist, previously hit the gospel airplay top 10 with "My Praise" in 2005.

Tim junior is an American Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-nominated gospel artist. Born in Detroit, he started his music career in 2012 with the release of "Beautiful." Tim brings an exciting energy to every church, stage, and recording studio no matter the occasion.

Every song on the album is a unique worship moment. “Holy” combines classic worship with R&B elements featuring Kierra Sheard

“Jesus” combines the voice of gospel powerhouse Le’Andria Johnson with pop and rock elements. The vocals and instrumentals merge effortlessly to ensure that every lover of Jesus receives this anthem’s message. The song is a celebratory tribute to the encompassing joy received from a relationship with Christ.

“Here all the Time” is an impactful display of the group’s stylistic versatility. The country-pop song featuring Bowman and Maranda Curtis reminds everyone that the things they need to win in life are already present. After a powerful climax, the song ends with a quiet and introspective statement “what I was looking for was here all the time.”

DENNIS QUAID
To Deliver Debut
Gospel Album Via
Gaither Music Group
Emmy®️ Award winner and two-time Golden Globe®️ nominee Dennis Quaid will deliver his debut Gospel album, "Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners," on July 28 via Gaither Music Group.

Combining soul-stirring renditions of seven hymns and classics with five original songs, Quaid delivers honest, inspiring lyrics sung with unmistakable tones that reflect heartfelt gratitude and eternal hope.

"Fallen" was executive produced by Quaid with producers David R. “Fergie” Ferguson, Ben Isaacs and Chris Lindsey. The Isaacs and Jackson Brumley supply background vocals on “I’ll Fly Away,” while The Oak Ridge Boys join Quaid on “Life’s Railway to Heaven.”

Originally released on the soundtrack for Quaid’s faith-based film "I Can Only Imagine" about MercyMe, “On My Way to Heaven” was inspired by the global superstar’s public grapple with addiction. Quaid also vulnerably acknowledges these personal struggles and his subsequent return to Christianity on songs like the title track.

Also known for his roles in "The Rookie," The Day After Tomorrow," Traffic," Vantage Point," Frequency,' The Parent Trap," Soul Surfer," The Right Stuff," Breaking Away," and "Midway."
Quaid’s recent big-screen credits include starring roles in Netflix’s uplifting movie, "Blue Miracle," Sony’s thriller "The Intruder," Universal’s "A Dog's Journey," and 'A Dog's Purpose" and Disney’s animated adventure film "Strange World."

T.D. JAKES
"Disruptive Thinking"
A Daring Strategy to Change
How We Live, Lead, and Love
If there were ever a time for disruptive thinking, it’s now! We need new methods for these volatile times, and T.D. Jakes has a life-altering message that he has created in his new book, “Disruptive Thinking.”

The book entered the Christian Booksellers' Top 50 list this month at #1.

This movement is calling for an alternate way to change the systems that no longer serve the health of our families, no longer serve our professional interests or how we communicate with others who think or vote differently than us. Disruptive thinking has led to some of the world’s most innovative and necessary movements; every period of chaos brings an opportunity to disrupt by providing an unexpected alliance or solution.

He shows us the power in harnessing our original ideas and bringing them to life. By not following the status quo and instead listening to our hearts, he believes we can heal ourselves and move humanity forward.

For most of our lives, we are encouraged to trudge along the well-worn paths of those who have come before us. We learn the rules – in our families, in our schools, in our workplaces, in our churches – and most of the messages we receive tell us that following the rules will allow us to arrive at the lives we desire.

But when change becomes not only desirable but also urgently necessary, this way of being no longer serves us. In fact, in every human endeavour, every major leap forward, has involved a cataclysmic challenge to existing ways of thinking and being. Breakthroughs, by definition, run against the grain and almost always encounter scepticism and opposition.

In this book for leaders, thinkers, doers, and creators, Bishop T.D. Jakes illuminates the pathway to encouraging and unleashing disruptive thinking and provides the wisdom and practical skills we need to evolve our most original and potentially transformational ideas from vision to reality. Through his insight into how our minds and emotions work and through his experiences as a pastor, entrepreneur, and creator, Bishop Jakes leads us into a new way of relating to and transforming the world around us for good. Disruptive Thinking will show you the mindset and the tools you need to create ground-breaking and meaningful change in your own life and in the world around you.

AMIR TSARFATI
"Has The Tribulation Begun?"
Are we living in the last days? Are the signs of the return of Jesus all around us? What role does Israel play and how should Christians live in these tumultuous times? And, do we have a blessed hope?
As bestselling author and native Israeli Amir Tsarfati shares, we're not in the great tribulation the Bible describes but that climatic seven year period could be on the horizon.

His new book, “Has the Tribulation Begun?: Avoiding Confusion and Redeeming the Time in These Last Days" entered this month's Christian bookseller's Top 50 list at #2.

Amir, as you report on a regular basis, we live in dark prophetic times.
But, there's also a lof of false information. Is that one of the reasons why your wrote, "Has The Tribulation Begun?

Absolutely. A lot of people are asking that question with the sheer chaos that we're seeing all around the world We're probably going to see countries that we know cease to exist in the near future. Add that to the civil unrest within Israel and the complete dillusion that we live in where people don't want anything to do with the Bible and the Word of God. I see deception. I see confusion. I see sensationalism within the church.

I want the church to know that there's still time remaining to rescue their loved ones and friends from God's coming wrath through the gospel.

Jesus never said, "until I return, just kind of sit there and wait for me. As followers, we need to be proactive in spreading the gospel. What exactly is the tribulation?

Jesus said "in the world, you will have tribulations; but be of good cheer, I have overcome this world. (John 16:33).
We were never promised a trouble free world from the get go. But, there is a big difference between the tribulations in life that we as believers will go through and the tribulations that is being described both by the prophets of Israel about Israel and the Book of Revelation regarding the rest of the world. Only when you study it will you understand the amazing sheer catastrophe that is going to come upon this world, which nothing in our lifetime an compare to.

This book defines what exactly the tribulation is all about...who is if for...where are we during that time? How can we identify the beginning of the tribulation? What are the things that must happen before?

Finding Financial Freedom Together as a Couple

By Jim Daly, Focus on the Family
For many couples, money can be a source of intense confusion and despair. Most of us weren’t taught how to manage money well. We rely on tips we pick up along the way from family, friends, and social media.

On our Focus on the Family Broadcast “Finding Financial Freedom Together as a Couple,” our guests Bob and Linda Lotich are with us to share wise and godly money management principles that will bless your marriage and put your money to use for the Kingdom of God.

Bob is a financial coach, and he and Linda share their advice on their award-winning blog and podcast.

With measly salaries and very little left over at the end of the month, Bob remembers believing that he and Linda would never be able to pay off their sizeable debt of over $400,000. Not only did they achieve that goal, but they also accomplished another one by the time they turned 40: giving away $1 million.

On our program, they explain:

Wise money management creates financial security for us and our families. It also creates opportunities to serve God and others through giving.

  • Join us on your local radio station, online, on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, via Google Podcasts, or take us with you on our free phone app as Bob and Linda share how to achieve financial freedom and develop the capacity to serve others with your finances by “saving all you can, earning all you can, giving all you can, and enjoying it all.”

How to Save Money on Gas

Remember the good ol’ days when getting gasoline for your car cost you under $1 a gallon? Okay, maybe not. Some of us weren’t even born or driving a car yet (hi there, 1988). But those sure sound like nice times.

Meanwhile, back in June of 2022, gas prices hit a peak, setting a record of $5.01 a gallon. Yuck. Thankfully, that number’s dropped. Still, filling up the gas tank isn’t cheap.

But with these tips you’ll learn how to save money on gas—without having to trade in your SUV for a horse and buggy.

1. Shop around for the best gas prices.
Sure, sometimes you’re riding on empty and you’ve got to get gas as quickly as possible. But if you plan ahead, you can really figure out some slick ways to save money on gas.

One way is to use an app like GasBuddy or Waze that searches your local area to find the cheapest gas prices around. Or you can pay attention on your way to and from work or the kids’ school to see which places offer the best prices.

2. Combine your errands.
Don’t make a special trip to get milk when you can just pick it up on the way home from work. You can cut back on trips to the grocery store in general by meal planning and keeping a list of all the household essentials you need. The fewer trips out, the less you pay in gas.
