Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
In part four of this teaching series, we will examine the importance of following peace, specifically as it relates to the issue of vaccinations for COVID-19. My wife and I have been fielding many questions from Christians about the current issue of vaccination against the FEAR VIRUS, aka COVID-19. Since we are already in the midst of our on-going Bible study on the subject of Divine rest, this is the perfect platform for what I need to share regarding the choices we all must face going forward.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14 KJV)

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

As I have said many times, the FEAR VIRUS is an attack from hell. Satan is the author of this, not the Chinese. They are just the human puppets he used to introduce this virus into the earth. It’s all about stopping the Great Commission of Mark 16:15-18, and of course, killing as many people as possible. As we approach the half-way point in 2021, there is much confusion, debate, and fear over the issue of vaccination. On top of the fear of getting the virus itself for the past 15 months or so, we now have the additional fear of something bad happening if we get vaccinated. Do we take the vaccine, or not? Is it safe, or not? Many voices say it is, and many voices say it isn’t. All kinds of predictions are being made by “experts”, some encouraging and some frightening. Situations like this demand that we remind ourselves that there are Biblical steps to follow before we make decisions at the proverbial “fork in the road”.

We need to have God’s peace when making difficult choices. We will never find the promised place of Divine rest until we follow after God’s peace. It is like the home plate umpire at a baseball game. They call the balls and strikes, not the pitcher or the batter. Let the peace of God tell you which pitch is a ball or a strike. When you do that, Divine Rest settles over you, and gives you the confident assurance that God is watching over you.
When we face uncertain times with many options to consider in life, it is wise to remember some important things found in the Bible. First, greater is the Holy Spirit in us than the devil in the world (1 John 4:4). We always have the upper hand, no matter what kind of demonic attack is encountered. If God be for us, nobody can be against us (Romans 8:31-39). The fact that God loves us is an assurance He will always provide the counsel, comfort and protection needed to make good, godly decisions, if we let Him be God. Second, always make choices that align with God’s perfect will for our life and ministry (and everyone in the body of Christ has a ministry). If our choice takes us away or prevents us from fulfilling God’s perfect plan for our lives, it’s the wrong choice. Third, commit your way to the Lord and trust in Him (Psalms 37:1-8/Proverbs 3:5-6). Do your best to listen to the voice of the Lord and obey His clear teachings in Scripture. After that, trust the Lord to watch over you and take care of you. Fourth, once you have made the decision to trust the Lord, relax and let the peace of God guard your heart and mind. Fifth, remember the peace we seek is found in our hearts, not our heads. Satan will always try to fill our heads with as many lies as he can, to confuse us and get us to make bad decisions. Do not make choices from a place of confusion! Take the time to wait on the Lord, so you can find the peace that guards your heart and mind. As it says in Hebrews 12:14, follow after peace!  Divine rest will be the result.
Ethel and I have made our decision about the vaccine question. We do not have peace about being vaccinated, so we are not going to be – period. There are too many unknowns now, and the numbers of people who reportedly suffer severe or even fatal side effects is too numerous to ignore. Simply put - we are not comfortable in our spirits about vaccination, so we are not going to do it. However, if it ever becomes a law that vaccination is required before we can travel internationally in obedience to the Great Commission, that is an issue we must consider, because we are definitely called to travel and represent Jesus internationally. If and when that happens, we will cross that bridge when we get there, and make our decisions according to the Lord’s leading and no one else’s. One way or the other, we will enjoy His peace, and receive His Divine rest. We’re not walking in fear – period.

But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god. Acts 28:3-6.

When Paul was on his missionary journey to Rome (his ministry assignment), a poisonous snake bit him on the hand. He simply shook off the snake and continued gathering sticks, suffering no adverse effects. If God can do that for Paul, He can do that for any of us if necessary. Everyone must weigh their decisions through an objective look at their present set of circumstances, compared against God’s perfect will for their life and ministry. Why? Because the gifts and callings of God always take priority – because they are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). This plandemic didn’t catch God by surprise. He knew it was coming long before we were ever born, so He certainly has the perfect plan for each of us, with or without a vaccine!
One person esteems one day above another, another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. Romans 14:5-6.

Paul dealt with issues like this with the Roman church and the Corinthian church (1 Corinthians 8:8, 10:25-33), so this is nothing new. For many reasons today, the world is doing its best to convince us that all should be vaccinated to be “safe”. Remember that word “safe” is relative. True safety is not in what the world tells us to do, but rather, what God tells us to do. Being vaccinated may or may not be God’s perfect will for each Christian. As an example, right now there are multitudes of missionaries like us, unable to travel freely to their countries of assignment because of quarantines and travel restrictions. If they are required to get the vaccine before being allowed to travel back to their mission field, what do they do if they don’t want to be vaccinated? Stay at home for the rest of their lives, while those they are called to never get the hands-on ministry God intended for them to have? Think about it.

Bottom line, if we want to obey God, there may come a time when vaccination is necessary whether we like it or not - with all of the health concerns notwithstanding. If so, let God be God, and we’ll stand in faith that He protects us like He protected Paul in the snake bite incident. We’re not there yet but could be soon. In short, do not judge others with the choices they have made in this regard. That is between them and God. Ethel and I do not criticize any of the brethren who have already been vaccinated about COVID-19. If they have peace about being vaccinated, who are we to judge another man’s servant (Romans 14:4)? If they have come to the place of Divine rest over this issue and the decision they have made, so be it. LEAVE IT ALONE and follow after the peace in your own heart! We pray for their safety and well-being as we do for ourselves. Let us all move on with what God has in store for our lives personally. The Great Commission is still in force – and always will be! That is our mandate, and that will never change.
This is Who We Are. This is What We Do.

MKMI now has a Rumble account, which is a conservative alternative to YouTube. Look for our MIKE KEYES MINISTRIES ACCOUNT when searching for us there. Some of our teaching videos have been added to our Rumble account, and more are being added going forward. Our Facebook and YouTube accounts are still active, as is our Twitter account, but always subject to the leading of the Holy Spirit as to whether we stay with these social media platforms. We are watching to determine if we are going to remain on certain platforms, depending upon how intrusive they become with censorship. An example of this is how Parler was de-certified in January. They’ve since restarted their platform, but we’re not using them yet. There are other conservative options being developed as well. We’ll monitor all of this and make Spirit-led decisions going forward.
THE RADICAL REMNANT
Since the devil’s COVID-19 Fear Virus has made our ministry travels much more difficult, the Lord has enabled me to maximize my time through the writing of more faith-building books. In 2020, we produced DETERMINED FAITH, which is being sold out wherever we make it available. Now for 2021, we have just produced THE RADICAL REMNANT, another book designed to inspire, instruct and exhort the true warriors for Christ Jesus in these last days.
