Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! John 4:35.

If you know your Bible, you know we’re living in the last days of the Church age, or what is also called the “age of grace”. By the signs all around us, we know Jesus is coming back very soon. That being said, it’s imperative that believers keep their eyes lifted up, focused on what needs to be done for God in the time remaining.

Now more than ever, the Great Commission of Mark 16:15-18 should always be the foundation for how we set priorities and manage our time.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for most Christians. They’re the ones Jesus described in Mark 4:13-18. They’re easily discouraged, have no ability to withstand persecution, and remain unfruitful because they’re in love with the world’s distractions and wealth. They’re just as shallow, selfish and self-centered as the unbelievers. They’re dull and spiritually weak. They’re like what Jesus described in the book of Revelation. They think they’re rich and prosperous, but in reality, they’re blind, miserable and wretched (Rev 3:17-18).

Jesus exhorted His disciples to look beyond the temporal issues and pleasures of this life, and see the rich harvest fields right in front of them. We’re His disciples today. Notice the word “fields” is plural. There are many different ways to reach many different types of people. We just need to make ourselves available, and let God maneuver us into position to represent Him effectively.

For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 1 Corinthians 9:19-22.

The Lord knows who we are and where we are. Once we get our eyes lifted up to look at the human harvest fields around us, He will direct us to the particular field or fields where He wants us to work. That’s called running the race in your lane, not somebody else’s! Paul understood this, that’s why he told the Corinthians that if he wasn’t an apostle to others, he was definitely an apostle to them (1 Corinthians 9:2, 24).

While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18.

To see the harvest requires the discipline of seeing the unseen, and remembering that the unseen world is permanent, while this one is not.

That’s critically important, especially when we experience terrible tragedies or face great persecution, as it was when Paul wrote this letter to the Corinthians.

Jesus said it as plainly as anyone could. Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven…. Luke 6:22-23.

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.  Acts 26:17-18.

Satan is a master at hiding spiritual truth.  As an accomplished missionary once said, “Half the world is bound by the devil, and the other half doesn’t believe he exists.”  Sharing God’s word brings light to those who live in spiritual darkness. It's like when you’re stumbling around in a very dark room trying to find the door, until you find the switch and turn on the lights.  Suddenly everything is clear.

If the lost souls in hell had one more chance to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and come out of that place, hell would be empty in 15 seconds, but it’s too late now.

Why didn’t they choose Jesus while still living on earth?  Because the devil blinds the minds of those who can’t see.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.  2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

People who live in sin can enjoy what sin provides them (Hebrews 11:25), but payday will come, if not in this life, certainly in the next.  The wages of sin is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire (Romans 6:23/Revelation 20:11-15)

I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. John 9:4.

Demonic darkness over the world grows stronger every day. This is the primary sign to us that our Lord’s return is close at hand. Right now is the best time to get involved for God. Don’t wait.

To think He has chosen to limit His soul-winning activity on earth to partnership with people like you and me – considering what’s at stake - is absolutely amazing to me! ETERNITY IS FOREVER!

I know that’s an obvious play on words, but the point should be well understood by every person claiming to be Christian. Like what Peter said to Jesus: “…you have the words of eternal life.(John 6:68).  Guess what? Jesus is no longer here physically. He’s in Heaven, but His ambassadors are here on earth – that’s you and me! (2 Corinthians 5:20).

When we speak, He is speaking through us. People can’t be saved until they hear the gospel, and that’s our most important reason for remaining on earth after we get saved (Romans 10:14-15). So, get on out there and do your part to bring in the harvest – while we still have the freedom to do so!

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. Mark 16:20.

God is looking for people to show Himself strong to (2 Chronicles 16:9). The Lord wants to work with each believer, channeling His power through them to reach the world in the name of Jesus. He knows what we need to know: one miracle is worth 10,000 sermons

The early church knew this, and that’s why they saw mighty miracles. They put themselves in position for God to work to confirm their message. They didn’t sit around hoping people found them. They went out and boldly confronted lost humanity.

If you want to see miracles in your life and in the lives of those around you, make yourself available and get busy with evangelism. God is still asking the question: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" (Isaiah 6:8).

The cost of educating our students falls mainly upon the MKMI ministry. The students are charged tuition, but the actual budget for housing, feeding and educating them is much more than their tuition can cover. That’s why sponsorship has become so vital. If you would like to sponsor one or more of our current or future students, the total cost to underwrite one of them is $95 monthly, or $855 annually (for nine months of study – vacation time excluded). This covers everything we need to provide for them. And remember, your gifts are always tax-deductible.

We’re believing God will provide sponsors for 35 students. If this is something you feel led to help us with, be sure to designate “Sponsor a Student” from the drop down menu when clicking the link below for online contributions. We will then assign one of our new students to you, with a picture and bio so you can know who it is that you’re supporting.
