Entrance Requirements for
Events at the Bob Carpenter Center
  • Tickets Required. All attendees must have a ticket to attend. Each graduate will receive ten (10) tickets to provide to family and friends. UD has a no re-entry policy. Once your ticket is scanned, you will not be able to re-enter if you leave the arena. Doors open at 6 PM.

  • *Update* COVID-19 Screening No Longer Required: Due to recent policy changes at the University of Delaware, the UD Health screening is no longer required to attend the commencement ceremonies at the Bob Carpenter Center.

  • Concessions: Concessions will be available during all ceremonies at the Bob Carpenter Center. Outside food and drink are not allowed.

  • *Update* Face Masks: Face masks are not required but are recommended.

  • Prohibited Items: To help make the ceremony enjoyable for all, the following items are not allowed: No helium balloons. No outside food or beverages. No air horns, cowbells, or noisemakers. No signs. These items will be confiscated and will NOT be returned.
