Christine Damaskos

Christine Damaskos “nee Bikos”, age 94 born in Gary, formerly of Valparaiso, Crown Point and Merrillville, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.

She is survived by her son- Demetrius (Cynthia) Damaskos. Christine was preceded in death by her husband James Damaskos; father- Demetrios Bikos; mother- Demetra Bikos nee Chapas and brother- Anthony Bikos.

She graduated from Gary Lew Wallace High School and Indiana State University. Christine was a 2nd grade teacher at Gary Emerson Elementary School.

Visitation will take place on

Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, from 3-7 p.m. with a trisagion service at 5:30 p.m.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. directly at SS Constantine & Helen Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St, Merrillville, IN.

Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be in Christine’s name to SS Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
