Dear friend,
In this season, we rejoice and give thanks for the gift – the welcoming Christ who entered and redeemed the world. Here, at Koinonia, we seek to share this welcome in the Name of Christ and provide experiences that nurture and care for people of all ages.
This has been a great year thanks to the generosity and hard work of many.
In the summer we welcomed over seventy children to Nature Camp, a six-week day camp that welcomed children aged 5-12 from the local towns of Highland Lake, Lumberland, and Tusten. We also welcomed 12 counselors and Jr counselors to care for the children, feed them, laugh with them, and share the love of Christ with them. The children loved Nature Camp.
This Fall we welcomed and fed congregations, crafters, women and LGBTQ+ groups, interim pastors, and our Board. Many people had never been to Koinonia, and they marveled at the generous clean rooms in the conference center, strong WiFi, delicious meals, and caring staff.
And this winter we welcomed mutigenerational groups of people - from infants to elders - to four Advent weekend retreats, including our first bilingual Festival of Lights!
Just as those who followed the star more than 2,000 years ago, we continue to faithfully look for Jesus and seek His guidance. Much has been accomplished at Koinonia this year, there is still much to do as we enter our 60th year of ministry.
I rejoice and give thanks for many like you. Your support means Koinonia will continue to welcome and offer renewal to all. Thank you.
Now, in this season of gift-giving, I invite you to share a special Christmas gift with Koinonia. Your gift of $1,000, $5,000, $500, $50 – whatever you choose to share – will be a blessing and will ensure our ministry into an exciting future.

P.S. Many donors have discovered the benefits of making a gift using a Qualified Charitable Contribution (QCD) from their individual retirement account (IRA). If you are 70 1/2 years or older, you may be interested in this way to make a significant gift while lowering the income and taxes from your RMD. Please consult with your IRA administrator for details.
