Our Mission

Ignatians West transforms lives by supporting nonprofit agencies that assist people who are poor or marginalized through the service and companionship of mature adults 50+ who are available to share their experience and talent in meaningful part time volunteer positions and reflect on their encounters in the Ignatian tradition.

Dear friends,

We celebrate the birth of a child sent to us by God.

The child grew into a man who changed the world.

Let us join him in prayer, thanksgiving, and, ultimately, action to continue to change the world for the good of all God's creation.

We wish you a blessed, happy and holy Christmas.

We are grateful for your support of our work.

We hope your family and friend gatherings are full of joy, fun, and hope for the future.

Peace,

Anne

A Message from the Board of Directors Chair

Dear friends and companions of Ignatians West, please join me in a brief prayer of looking into the eyes of the child whose birth we celebrate at Christmas:

Dear Jesus,

We see in your eyes a look that is all love,

gazing into the depths of our hearts,

knowing us completely as we are.

Please open our hearts to accept this gift of your love

so that we may gracefully respond by loving you

and all those whom we encounter in any way,

from dearest and closest family members and friends

to all who will only know of your love through what we say and do.

Amen.

Randy Roche, S.J.

The volunteers of Ignatians West gathered for the December meeting to celebrate the season and reflect on Advent with Dr. Ann Holmquist, a member of our Board of Directors, and with a mission to support the outreach of St. Agatha parish to families in need.

We filled a large U-Haul truck with gift cards to grocery stores, household goods, and other items. It was heartwarming to see all that would comfort the families supported by St. Agatha parish.
