 Christmas Carol Readers Announced!

HELLO THEATRE LOVERS!

It’s hard to believe that we are now entering the Christmas Holiday Season! Where did the year go? This Saturday, November 18 at 5 pm is the Collingwood Santa Claus Parade and we are so happy to have a float in it again this year. Thank you to Kevin and Laurie Blair from Alair Homes for once again pulling our trailer! We hope that you will come out and cheer us on. Following the parade, there will be the annual lighting of the town Christmas tree.

Hope to see you there!

P.S. Guess where Erica is hiding in this photo???

ANNUAL STAGED READING OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Speaking of annual events, we are very excited to be once again presenting our Annual Staged Reading of A Christmas Carol on Thursday, December 14 at First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood (7:30 pm). We had our first "Zoom" rehearsal last week and our readers are amazing! If you have not been to this reading before, it is a bit like watching an old radio show being taped. We have our readers and we have Anne Raciunas as our Foley artist making all the sound effects. It is so much fun and a great way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season, sit back, and listen to a time-honoured story. Fun for the whole family! Tickets are on sale now online HERE or call the office at 705-445-2200. Our cast and creative team are:

SeniorsCan-Storytellers-2024-1072x1390-1-400x519 image

Erica is the Executive Director of Theatre Collingwood, and has spent her career searching for and sharing wonderful stories throughout South Georgian Bay. In this program, she wants to help you tell YOUR story, because we know everyone has a story to tell! This is not a writing course but rather a very social, safe place to practice telling your story, or someone else’s story. Maybe you want to learn how to be a good listener or how to shake off those nerves. This course is perfect for those who want to learn skills for sharing stories with a loving grandchild, across the dinner table, or on a stage! Come have some fun and hear some great stories, too!
