From the Minister
Dear Unity Friends,
Christmastime reminds us that as we celebrate the birth of Jesus—the Divine Master Teacher—we also rejoice in the Christ light that dwells within us all.
As this year comes to a close, it is also a time to prepare to release 2020… to let go of a year that has been fraught with disruption and uncertainty. However, let us be inspired by the life of Mary, mother of Jesus, as we do so!
|
|
Like Mary, we are preparing to give birth to a new light in this world. While we cannot predict the future and how this newborn Christ consciousness will express—we can be assured that everything we have experienced has prepared us for this holy transformation.
There is much for which to be hopeful. We are the ones.
In Love and Unity,
Rev. Anne Tabor

Sunday, December 27, 2020
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
*Facebook Live
"I take the best and leave the rest!"
Are you ready to release 2020… and prepare to move into 2021 with a fresh start? Then you’ll love this life-changing, sacred Unity tradition!
The Burning Bowl Ceremony is a profound way to liberate yourself from anything—big or small—that no longer serves your highest good. This spiritual practice is an opportunity for you to allow real transformation by writing down limiting beliefs that are holding you back and then releasing them. Letting go of these old thought patterns clears the pathway to replace them with new and exciting ways to grow into your Divine Potential.
Join Rev. Anne as she guides us through this powerful and liberating service on the last Sunday of the year. There’s a reason this is one of Unity’s most cherished traditions. You don’t want to miss it!

White Stone Ceremony
Sunday, January 3, 2021
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor
*Facebook Live
Join Rev. Anne as she leads us in our annual Unity ritual of the "White Stone Ceremony." This is your opportunity to listen to the still small voice of Spirit within to discern your unique guidance for the New Year and beyond. This is a time to discover a new spiritual name for yourself and the qualities you wish to develop. It is a deeply moving and empowering service to help move you forward into a spiritually energized and joyful 2021!
“Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To everyone who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” (Revelation 2:17)

We invite all children to join us this Sunday, December 27th, at 10am, on Zoom. Our lesson will be about Life, which is the power for December. In the past we have had a release ceremony in keeping with Burning Bowl. We are doing things a little differently this year, and will have a short discussion about release followed by a visualization meditation about letting go of our worries and fears. This is a great opportunity for our children to stay connected, as well as receive the message from our lessons.

A Reminder of Ways to Help Protect Yourself and Others
The news that coronavirus infections continue to rise at an alarming rate reminds us that we need to be vigilant in our personal safety actions.
Along with the strong recommendation from the CDC that you get a flu shot, here again are the guidelines:
- Wear a mask, and wear it properly, with both nose and mouth covered..
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Protect coughs by coughing and sneezing into your elbow and/or a tissue.
- Frequently clean surfaces that are often touched, especially doorknobs, door frames, telephones, keyboards, and bathroom areas.
- Use hand sanitizer.
- Stay home if you are not feeling well.

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!
Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES
Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.
Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.
Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
|
CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in
all we do.
Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole human family.
Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity, we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.
Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.
Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas
of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.
Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.
Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
