Where Great Jazz Lives...
My first thought was to meet November with 'The Blues'. But when I sat at the piano "I get a Kick out of You' emerged and so it went. Legendary Pianist, Spellbinding Vocalist, and Generation-Spanning Raconteur GENE DiNOVI presides first-Tuesdays-of-the-month
Multiple award winner DEBBIE FLEMING has long enjoyed a successful career as one of Toronto’s busiest session singers. Debbie is also an accomplished songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player, as well as a noted vocal and instrumental arranger
On a brief Canadian stopover on tour from the UK, internationally famed trombonist CHRIS GREIVE was born in Perth, Australia, and earned his BMus degree through the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts jazz program.
CAROL McCARTNEY’ s impeccable vocals and finely-tuned musicianship have made her a favourite among musicians and audiences alike. She continues her evolution in jazz after being honoured by the city of Toronto with a street named after her, “McCartney Street”, in the Weston area where she grew up.
Every second Saturday of the month, the stately Home Smith Bar is transformed into a back porch blues jam with top Canadian blues artists swapping songs and raising the roof.  BRIAN BLAIN hosts and plays bass and guitar and makes sure he invites only musicians who play well with others. Everybody plays along at the Campfire Jam.
