Detect Fire in Your Home

Home fires are devastating and we can help you detect them before they begin. Ting monitors the electrical network of a home using a smart plug-in sensor to help detect hazards, so they can be fixed before they have a chance to ignite a fire. By installing a smart sensor that sees what we can't, whether hidden within walls, above ceilings or in devices,Ting quietly watches over your entire home and sends you prompt notification when a hazard is detected.

Call our office to schedule your installation, 916-824-1800 or make an appointment at

Ring Doorbell Recall

As you may know, Ring is conducting a recall on a number of Ring Video doorbells. After careful review, we have determined that the recall is based upon incorrect installation procedures. If you had your Ring Video Doorbell installed by Connected Technology, your doorbell was installed properly and your doorbell does not need to be recalled.

If you have additional questions, you can see the information at about the recall:
Save Money this Season

Electricity bills tend to skyrocket this time of year. These tips can lower your energy bill.

Snuggle - Depend on body heat to keep you cozy. Turn down the thermostat and cuddle up in a blanket with your loved ones. (Pets count!)
Game night - Turn off the TV and all of the other devices for a night around the table making the most of time together.
Use a timer - Smart plugs and timers for your outdoor lights will keep you from accidentally leaving your lights on longer than necessary.
Use the convection setting on your microwave or oven - That setting you forgot you have? On average, you’ll use 20% less energy with it!
Switch to LED lighting - LED lighting has a bit of an upfront cost but uses about 80% less energy than incandescent bulbs. Be sure it has an ENERGY STAR label!
Connected Technology’s
Cat Sponsorship Program

Bella, Caspian and Shasta, our feline kids, have enhanced our lives tremendously and since we'd like others to experience the joy they bring, we've begun an adoption sponsorship program through the FieldHaven Feline Center in Lincoln, CA.

Above is a photo of one of our past adoption sponsorships: Blue found a wonderful home with Lucas and Felicia Dunn.

We will cover all adoption fees for anyone who adopts our specially-chosen cat. Is there a cat on your Christmas list? Consider adopting Snowball and making him a loving member of your family during this holiday season.
Snowball's Story:
I most certainly could have been named Loveball!  I showed up at a homeless camp for humans just before a fire started. It was a horrible day with the homeless frantically gathering up their pets to escape.  I was one of the lucky ones that was carried to safety.  I was then taken to FieldHaven to get some medical care, food, love and a warm place to sleep every night.  Being at a shelter is better than being homeless……but I am really hoping that I can have my very own indoor home.  A home where I will get a lot of love (and I have a lot to give in return); some yummy wet food, and a warm soft bed to sleep on.  It’s really the simple things in life that make us happy.

Some extras that can also be included in my new home might include: a cat tree for climbing and sleeping; a big screen TV so we can all watch bird videos together; some little furry mice for me to play with; my own pantry of wet food because that makes my tummy very happy and some laps to sleep on.
Snowball says: "Please contact FieldHaven Feline Center to learn how to adopt me. I will be forever grateful."

Due to COVID the shelter is operating at limited capacity but are still offering cat adoptions and they are always looking for volunteers. You can learn more at
