Christmas Greetings from Courage!
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.
To all who received him, who believed in his name,
he gave power to become children of God ...
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth;
we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.
And from his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace.
(John 1:4-5,9,12,14,16.)
Gerrit van Honthorst, Adoration of the shepherds , 1622, Pomeranian State Museum.
At Christmas, we pray that the Word-Made-Flesh
may bestow on you and your loved ones abundant blessings and many gifts:

the Kindly Light that reveals his plan and path for our lives
(Exodus 13:11)

the spirit of sonship by which we call out, "Abba, Father"
(Romans 8:15)

and that purity of heart by which we are able to see God
(Matthew 5:8)

May Emmanuel, "God With Us", brighten your home with His light,
fill your hearts with His grace, and strengthen your hope with His presence.

May the Holy Family guide, protect and intercede for you and your family throughout the Christmas season and the coming New Year.
