Minister's Moment

This Sunday, we will begin the season of Advent. The theme for the first Sunday of Advent is HOPE. Therefore, we will be lighting a candle to call forth the attribute of HOPE in our lives.

I have a personalized license plate on my car that reads BHOPE (Be Hope). It signifies the power of bringing hope into the lives of those we serve or those who are less fortunate. Christmas is the story of HOPE. It draws inspiration from the prophecy of a Messiah who will rescue his people from the occupation of the Romans. But we know, that in the world of Spirituality, there is a greater purpose and intention to celebrating Christmas which is deep within us. It is the hope and expectation of true freedom from a life that takes its direction from the ways of the world. This liberation to a spiritual way of being is the knowing that our freedom and happiness comes from within.

Please join us this Sunday, in person or on our 11AM live stream , as we celebrate HOPE and the miracles in our life that come from our faith in the unseen world of spirit.

Many Blessings,
Rev. Steve Towles

Christmas Loaves and Fishes

Synopsis:  When you step forth with courage in the face of logic that says no, you make room for God to do God’s perfect work through you. Join Reverend Towles this Sunday as he kicks off the Christmas season with a lesson on the magic of Christmas.

“You can learn to go way beyond believing and goal setting, to a new place within yourself: the place of knowing. It is in this realm of your mind that miracles are produced.” ~ Wayne Dyer, REAL MAGIC

FEATURED EVENT
Christmas Eve Candle-lighting Service
Monday, December 24, 2018
8 PM
Please join us for our sacred candle-lighting ceremony as we transition from our outward Christmas activities toward a deeper, more mystical experience of birthing the Christ within our own heart and soul. This is a magical time when we can finally relax into the real Christmas experience that inspires us and fills us with love, joy and peace.

Also, we invite you to bring any extra candles and candle holders you might have at home to decorate the Sanctuary during Christmas Eve. These special candles will have a very specific purpose. They are not a replacement for the small candles that we will light individually. Rather, they will be lit to represent all the people in our congregation. So, if you can help with this effort, please drop off your spare candles and holders during office hours or during Sunday Services (any color, shape, or size will do). Please mark your candles and holders so they can be returned to you after Christmas. Thanks.
