We have fantastic news to share! The long-awaited Cornerstone Housing Project has been completed, and foster youth live in brand-new units! This announcement is just a teaser as an in-depth story, including a ribbon-cutting invite, will come in the following weeks!
As of this writing, six former foster youth and their families have moved into the first phase. This week, more youth will move into brand-new homes. We are thankful to the Housing Authority of Kern County for the partnership and leadership in the project and partners in the foster youth space, such as the Kern County Department of Human Services, the Dream Center, Kern Health System, and Kern Behavioral Health & Recovery Services.
