This week we are featuring everything you need to know about the
2022 Light Up the Night Atlantic Beach Christmas Parade!
Date, Time, & Location

The 2022 Christmas Parade starts at 6 p.m. TONIGHT, Friday, December 2!

The route begins at the Atlantic Beach Town Park (915 W Fort Macon Rd.) and proceeds East on Fort Macon Rd. toward the Circle. The parade will enter the Circle on West Drive and proceed all the way around. Once the parade reaches the main stoplight, it will end, and floats will be able to exit.

*Please note that parade floats are staged at the Town Park therefore, no parking will be available for visitors.
Parade Parties
 
Enjoy the parade along West Fort Macon Rd. at one of the many "Parade Parties!" The following businesses are hosting free parking (with a PRIME view of the parade), sweet treats, and food and drink specials! Click on each business name to view their event details.
Photos with Santa

Immediately following the parade, Santa and his elves from the West Carteret Theater Department will be at the Atlantic Beach Fire Department (125 W Fort Macon Road).

Photos with Santa, hot chocolate, and fresh cookies from The DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach are all free to enjoy! Don't miss this opportunity to share your Christmas list with Kris Kringle!
Parking & Traffic

While parking may not be available at the Town Park, there are ample places to park in Atlantic Beach! Parking will be available along the causeway, Fort Macon Road, and at the Circle.

The ABPD will be altering the traffic pattern along Fort Macon Rd. beginning at 5 p.m. Portions of Fort Macon Rd. will be reduced to one travel lane in each direction, but Fort Macon Rd. will not be closed at any point.

Please plan accordingly and arrive early to secure your spot!
Parade Floats

While we cannot list all of the 70+ floats that will be in attendance, we can give you a sneak peek! Be sure to bring a bag or basket for candy... floats will be tossing treats into the crowd! Here are a handful of our "lighted" floats:

Viewing Zones

Please plan to view the parade from the south side of Fort Macon Rd. (ocean side) or along the Circle. Do not plan to view the parade from the north side (sound side) as there will be traffic present.
