Sheridan Christmas Stroll A Welcome Relief For Downtown Businesses

Downtown Sheridan Main Street was closed again for some time this past Friday (November 24th), and the reason for the closure was a welcome and festive one.


The Christmas Stroll took place as several thousand shoppers and browsers filled the Sheridan Main Street sidewalks and Main Street itself to take advantage of Black Friday Sales, and enjoy the Holiday festivities on a chilly Friday.


Stores opened their doors as early as 8am, and then Main Street was closed from 4 until 8pm to allow evening festivities to take place.

Don’t Miss Your Chance to Buy a Refunded Hunting License

The Wyoming Game and Fish wants to ensure hunters don’t miss their chance to buy a refunded hunting license. 


According to the department, limited quota licenses approved for a refund are made available to purchase by residents and nonresidents on a first-come, first-served basis through a license-selling agent or the Wyoming Game and Fish website. The same rule applies to any nonresident regional deer and nonresident general elk licenses.

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) has released the 2023-28 Wyoming Digital Learning Plan to ensure that Wyoming’s students have equitable access to opportunities at the forefront of digital learning that allow them to attain technological skills required by the workforce, postsecondary education, or military through student-centered strategies that respond to local guidance and needs.

Santa to Fly into Sheridan County Airport on Saturday

All boys and girls are invited to the annual Santa Fly in on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. to watch Santa Claus arrive by airplane and tell him their Christmas wishes. The fly-in is hosted by the Sheridan Pilots Association, and they will provide hot cocoa with marshmallows, as well as candy canes. There will also be letters that the youngsters can fill out and mail to Santa. The event is free and open to the public.

The High School Basketball season starts on Thursday, December 7th.


Last year, the Sheridan girls went 15-11 and made it to the state tournament semi-finals.


Coach Ryan Sullivan says this year’s team is going to have some depth and that could pay off down the road.
