The folks at GFL announced that on Saturday, January 14, trucks will be in the community to pick up Christmas trees. 

If you have already set your tree out for Monday, Jan 2, they will keep to their previous commitment to pick-up trees with regular trash pick up, but their preference is to have a special pickup day on January 14. 

This is a last minute change on GFL's part and they allow this method will speed normal trash collection. 

As previously announced, your recycled tree:

• Should be stripped of all ornaments, tinsel, etc. 
• Should NOT be bagged,
• Cut it in 3 foot sections,
• And please, no artificial trees
