MEET & GREET ADULT HOLIDAY GATHERING

The Adult gathering scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 16, has been cancelled.

1st QUARTER DUES INVOICES

The 1st quarter dues invoices and the 2024 Election ballots will be mailed TOGETHER on December 30th. Payment is due by January 15th. Look for this envelope!

The 1st quarter billing for 2024 will also be sent via email (all future billings will be done this way--they will not be mailed anymore). All invoicing after this billing will then be sent by email only. Included in this change will be the ability to pay with credit/debit cards online, or you can continue to pay via check. Details will be in the email sent directly from QuickBooks along with a link for online payment.

2024 BOARD ELECTION

On December 30th, ballots for the next Hillcrest Community Association (HCA) Board election will be mailed in the same envelope as the 1st quarter HCA dues invoice. Ballots will be sent to each lot owner who is current on dues and in good standing with the Association (only one ballot per lot). Ballots will be mailed only to the owner of the property, not the renter (if applicable). Included with the ballot will be "Candidate Profiles" submitted by each candidate. The ballot itself must be mailed back, dropped off to the office or put in locked drop box (attached to Clubhouse at top of handicap ramp) in order for your vote to count. Deadline to turn in completed ballot is January 11, 2024 at 8:00am.

In this election, there's three open spots, that of Scott Owens, Lori Ingemi & Jason Hoppe. Scott & Lori are running for re-election; applications were also received from Liz Hershner and Sondrah Laden.

LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL

There are two options for disposing of live Christmas trees after the holidays:

  • Put your tree by the curb and Rumpke will pick it up on a trash day. If you have a really large one, it needs to be cut into 4 ft. sections and bundled.
  • Oldham County will recycle your tree for free through January 31, at the Oldham County Recycling Center in Buckner. Every 5 trees produces 35 pounds of mulch which they use to mulch park trails & landscape beds in Oldham County! They also recycle Christmas lights instead of throwing into the garbage, all details here for recycle center: Recycle Center and here for flyer on Christmas tree recycling: Christmas Tree Recycling

DOG WASTE

As always, it is requested dog owners please carry their dog's bag home and place into your own larger trash bags at your own house. Lately bags are being left on sidewalks again and there have also been residents disposing them into the Clubhouse cans. This smelly trash will sit for weeks at the bottom of the Clubhouse cans since they don't have larger bags in them, sometimes even longer. Thank you.
