Christmas at Sea 2023

A Community Effort!

1217 Ditty Boxes delivered for Christmas at Sea!

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to provide 1217 Ditty Boxes containing warm hats, scarves, toiletries, and other essentials to seafarers this holiday season. We cannot express how grateful we are for the outpouring of support and kindness. Your donations make a real difference in the lives of these hardworking seafarers, who spend long months away from their families and loved ones.

Thank you for helping us make a positive impact and spread joy and warmth this holiday season. We couldn't have done it without you!

The preparation goes a long way in getting the process completed, and does not go unnoticed. We are lucky to have wonderful packing & wrapping parties over the years, and this year was no different.

Here is a timeline recap of some of these wonderful parties:

  • Brandywine/Naamans Rotary Club - wrapping party
  • Aldersgate UMC - packing party
  • Holly Oak Calvary UMC- wrapping party
  • Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Lester's Group of friends - packing/wrapping party
  • Episcopal Church of the Ascension - wrapping party
  • St. Mark's Lutheran Church - wrapping party
  • Cokesbury Village Residents - wrapping party
  • SCW Volunteers packing/wrapping

We value each and every one of you! Please note that a FULL list of Christmas at Sea contributors for 2023 will be posted in our upcoming version of THE LOG.

Thank you for your continued support!
