Christmas Eve Parking

Additional parking for the 4:00 and 6:00 PM services will be available courtesy of our friends at the Christian Science Church, 6165 La Flecha (southeast of Village Church and visible off of Paseo Delicias). A shuttle will run from 2:30 – 7:30 PM.

If you’re able to take advantage of this parking option you will open spaces on the church campus for others!

Luminaria Prep Party

Saturday, December 23

9:00 - 10:00 AM

Can you pour sand into a paper bag? If so, join the Luminaria Making Party on Saturday morning, December 23, 9:00-10:00 AM, and help make the 2000 luminarias that will grace our church campus on Christmas Eve. These small fires recall the Las Posadas tradition of lighting the way for the Holy Family to find its way to the Stable.

There will be pastries and hot drinks to share!

We will also need volunteers to help set the Luminarias around our campus on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Help Serve the Homeless a Christmas Meal

We will serve a Christmas meal to those in need at Ventura Cove, in the Mission Bay area, and share the love of Christ.

Please remember that no quantity is too small or too large; bring what you can.

Every fifth Sunday, we encourage special offerings for the Deacons' Benevolence Fund which helps people experiencing financial distress.

How to Follow Jesus for Life

Sundays starting January 21

Start out the new year by joining a pastor-led 6-week study to learn more about how to “Follow Jesus for Life.” Sessions will be held January 21 through February 28 with lunch served.

This class is suited to seasoned believers as well as those new to the faith – and everyone in between. If interested, please register online.

Please remember that all financial gifts to the church must either be physically received or postmarked no later than Sunday, December 31 in order to qualify for tax deduction purposes in 2023.

Since God has given us everything that we have, it is important that we give back to God from everything that he has given. This balance in our giving is necessary so that the whole life of the church will thrive.

If you’ve not yet returned your pledge card to the church, please do so at your earliest convenience.

All month long our Youth will be learning what the Advent season is all about - Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. We'll talk about being blessed and blessing others. We'll have several opportunities to serve those in need as well as celebrate all God is doing.
