In the last month with just a few Church Street Traders able to stay open, many others were furiously painting and refurbishing their shops behind the scenes, getting in their Christmas Stock ready to re-open with a bang once Lock Down was over. The Christmas trees are up, the street has all its Christmas Lights on and windows are sparkling with Xmas decorations. Please come and support your local shops in what is known as the Jewel in the Crown of Twickenham and enjoy the heady atmosphere of Christmas in this lovely street perhaps at its best time of year, browsing the shops with a locally brought mulled drink & buying your Christmas trees, wreaths or finding that special present or gift voucher amidst our fantastic mixture of unique & enterprising traders. |

Welcome to Xmas in Church Street, Twickenham, COVID-19 Style. In this last lockdown our little band of traders have been beavering away to create the warmest of welcomes to help banish your COVID Blues.
Difficult times!! But the xmas lights and windows displays in the street this year are second to none. Perhaps this year the most exuberant ever. It really is a triumph over adversity with the traders during the months of lock down thinking ahead, trying to make the best out of the situation, the street is literally a beacon of light in the dark.
Our little street is ready for you. We would really love to see you and all the family. Here's just a few of the offerings from our traders - come and enjoy the welcome.

The Eel Pie Pub Twickenham |
The Eel Pie is ready to open and welcome back its guests from this Thursday. We will be open 7 days a week serving food from 11am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 11am to 7pm on Sunday. While we are disappointed by the restrictions that we have been placed under we believe that our hearty and of course “substantial” meals are a great reason to come and visit us and make sure to look out for festive specials coming up In December. Christmas is the time for celebrating with family so make sure to bring yours to the Eel Pie this December or meet up with friends wrap up warm and join us for a bite to eat outside in Church Street.

Drink Stout to Help Out!
Our vision for Brewery Market is simple: to encourage people to #DrinkDifferently and experience the diversity that beer has to offer. Beer is no longer about sinking 15 pints. The beers that we showcase are of the highest quality, measured not only by the calibre of the breweries we stock, but by our customers' perception of value received for money paid. We keep our margins low, as we believe craft beer should not be a luxury. That does mean in the current climate we are struggling to cover our costs.
We opened in 2018, and we have built a reputation for quality beer and events in a comfortable and welcoming setting. We have a team of 3 employees, all of whom bring their passion and expertise to making sure that customers have the best experience possible. In that short time we have already become a part of the local community, participating in events along Church Street, and we have been fortunate to receive recognition on a wider scale – we are currently shortlisted for the Drinks Retailing Awards 2021.
We hope to raise money to keep our bottle shop open and provide exciting diverse craft beer to the community :) We now face a point where the hospitality industry is subject to even more restrictions and despite having come this far, the uphill battle has just got steeper.

Wow,what a year that was,I’m sure you’ll all agree we’re all ready to see the back of it.We at Mint Hair and Beauty certainly are after being closed 21 weeks in total.However something good often comes out of our challenges,we’ve spent more time with our families,Discovered Zoom and heard the word Furlough for the first time,but our lockdown highlight was being crowned winners of the UK Salon Business awards for best Green Salon,something we as a Team have worked so hard for,so Please do pop in and check out our Trophy and Browse our many Eco friendly stocking fillers. We have a couple of new members of the Mint Family, Abel Burners made by our friends in Cornwall, Ashley and Kat who were wedding photographers at the start of the year but have been forced to diversify making minimal modern oil burners. We are also proud to be working with Laura Rudoe the founder of Evolve organic Skincare which we are all very excited about.
