Celebrate Camping Ministries Sunday
This Sunday, April 8, we celebrate Camping Ministries and the summer camps offered through the Desert Southwest Conference. We're also asking for your help to send economically disadvantaged children and youth to camp this summer by donating to scholarships. Stop by the patio table after worship to learn more.
Pastor's Message

  Dear Friend in Faith,

The book of Leviticus is often seen by Christians as one of the most challenging books to study and understand. The third book of the Bible, Leviticus might seem like little more than a dry set of ancient laws and regulations that have little to do with our contemporary context. Not only that, but many of those seemingly irrelevant laws include instructions that might be considered bloody and barbaric. Take Leviticus 1:10, a passage that gives instructions to the Israelites about burnt offerings made to the LORD: “You are to slaughter the offering at the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar. You are to wash the internal organs…” etc.

Thank You for Making the Youth Dinner and Auction a Success
In case you missed the news... Christopher Wurpts reported that the Youth Mission Dinner and Auction "was one of our most successful" events. Approximately $13,500 was raised that night, despite fewer attendees from previous years and fewer auction items.

"Combined with Sam Henderson’s very successful Red Envelope Fundraiser, which raised $3,300, we’re right at $16,700 for this season of fundraising," Christopher reported. Dani Wiggs, who coordinated the auction, also took photos that evening. See them on SmugMug . Thank you for supporting youth missions and ministry!

Students who plan to go on the 2018 Senior High Mission Trip to Houston, TX, July 22-27, 2018 , need to register by ASAP . Email Christopher for the registration link. Cost: $450/student.
