Annual Chromosome 18 Soirée and Golf Tournament

Thank you to all the families and friends who joined us in San Antonio, TX for the 21st Annual Golf Tournament and Starfish Soirée! It was a beautiful couple of days filled with friendship, connection, and fundraising for our Chromosome 18 community— together we raised over $105,000!

Dr. Jannine Cody attending the ASHG Annual Meeting in Boston, MA

October 14th through the 18th, Dr. Jannine Cody attended the largest genetics and genomics meeting in the world! She was able to connect with other professionals, spread Chromosome 18 awareness, and learn valuable information to bring back to the Registry!

Neale Parker attending the annual NORD meeting in Washington DC

Neale Parker received a full scholarship from the National Organization Rare Diseases (NORD) to attend the Annual member meeting and & Rare Diseases Breakthrough Summit in Washington, DC from October 19th through the 21st. This was a great opportunity to network with the over 900 other participants, attend many great sessions and meet lots of other Rare Disease Organizations.

John Curtin - Self Advocate Facebook Live

This month John Curtin was our Self-Advocate spotlight! If you missed it, you can watch the recording here. Listen in to learn about what he does on a day-to-day basis, his experience with the Chromosome 18 Registry, and even get some book recommendations!

Dallas Cornhole Tournament!

On October 26th we gathered at Commonwealth Beer Co. for an afternoon of Cornhole! We loved seeing the community gather to raise awareness, have fun, and connect. Together, $8,500 was raised! See photos here.

Brayden's Benefit

Brayden's Benefit took place over the weekend of September 26-28 and consists of the North of 80 Music Festival, Brayden's Benefit 5k, and Kids' Fishing Derby It was held at the Stony Fork Creek Campground in Wellsboro, PA and huge Thanks to Susan Blackwell and all the volunteers to make this such a fun time.

Sullivan Scramble

The Sullivan Scramble celebrated 15 years of the event at Sullivan Elks Golf Course in Sullivan, IN on Saturday, September 6th. Huge thank you to Carysn Wayland & Cara DeMoss for making this such a great event with a fun party afterwards at the DeMoss house. They were able to raise $2,600!
