THANK YOU!

For all who helped with the Christmas Eve services. Those who greeted, ushered, assisted, helped with communion, acolyte, children time, baking cookies, making coffee, and many many other tasks that people just showed their love to help. The special instruments, our little choir and all the planning committees are truly made our service special to God. We welcomed over 150 people at 5PM.

Poinsettias are ready to be taken home. Thank you for purchasing them in memory and dedication to your loved ones.

CHILDREN MOMENT LEADERS NEEDED

But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” (Luke 18:16)

Our children are gifts from God. To them, we owe everything! For them, we do anything! God has entrusted us with enriching the lives of these precious gems and calls us all to do everything within our power and control to guide them.

Please join the Sunday morning Children’s Moment team. Here are 10 additional reasons our Awesome God is calling us:

1.    It promotes happiness.
2.    It helps them with understanding life
3.    It’s a great opportunity to accept Christ
4.    It can help them learn to love others.
5.    It is something fun to do.
6.    It helps kids want to come to church.
7.    It helps them make new friends.
8.    It gives kids the occasional meaningful keepsakes.
9.    It gives children special memories.
It allows them to them to become acquainted with our church family

We receive many thank you notes during the year. We wanted to share one that came as a thank you for our parking lot ministry that supports the church. Thank you for Roy who heads up the ministry and all the volunteers. If you can help on game days, please talk to Roy.

"My Husband and I are UVA football season ticket holders. We'd like to thank you for providing a clean well-stocked place to use the restroom on game days. As a long time member of a Methodist Church in Pennsylvania, we understand the commitment of time, supplies, water & electricity associated with this kind gesture. Thank you for being a Christian witnesses to the Charlottesville community. Thanks again and Go Hoos! Sincerely, Linda and Von Mosser"
