We're invited to a June 26th concert
All of us are invited to an outdoor concert at Cowan Fellowship Church on June 26th at 5:00 p.m. Bring outdoor chairs or blankets and enjoy food, drinks, and fellowship. The event is free, but donations are accepted to benefit the Isaiah 117 House.

The musicians performing are from local Franklin County churches. Cindy and Jacob Gray, Charlie Smith, Christopher Smith, Wanda Spencer, Helen Stewart, Kent Turner, and Stacy Ruch will be performing, along with a few children.

You'll be sure to recognize your favorite gospel tunes, as well as some new spins on the old ones. Cowan Fellowship is located at 609 E. Cumberland St.
Walk with Jesus as we read from Mark
This season our Sunday services will take us for a walk with Jesus as Mark's gospel recalls his earthly life and ministry.

This Sunday, June 27th, we will cover an extraordinary group of healing events as recorded in Mark 5:21-43. The lessons in Mark and our Sunday sermons are a helpful way to grow in faith during the weeks of summer.

Videos of our sermons are posted each week on our Facebook page and on our YouTube channel.
Change for Life Bottles due June 27th
The "Change for Life" baby bottle coin jars are due on Sunday, June 27th.

Several have already been turned in and we are very pleased with the support.

Besides our collection of coins from among our parishioners, we also recruited support from New Creation Ministries and from Emerald-Hodgson Hospital.

Life Choices is a dynamic life-nurturing ministry with offices in Coffee, Franklin, and Grundy County.

To participate you can take home and fill up a baby bottle coin jar.

Christie James Grissett is a resource person at Life Choices. For information about the center please reach out to Christie or log on to www.lifechoicestn.org.
A Prayer for Independence Day - July 4th
"Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant, we beseech thee, that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain these liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen."
Listen to an Independence Day Recital
Last year, on July 4th, 2020, Carla treated everyone to an on-line concert of national hymns and patriotic favorites.

We are pleased to provide the link this year in our newsletter for your listening enjoyment.

Thank you, Carla, for sharing your love of music and your love for our country.

"Watch over thy children, O Lord, as their days increase; bless and guide them wherever they may be. Strengthen them when they stand, comfort them when discouraged or sorrowful; raise them up if they fall; and their hearts may thy peace, which passeth understanding abide all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
Updates from our church family
Shelia Leitzel requests our prayers for Lance Campbell, a friend of their family. Lance was injured in a job-related accident and will undergo a long recovery.

Nancy Glenn is still an inpatient at NHC in Tullahoma and is very pleased with her physical therapy program. The care team will reassess Nancy on Thursday, June 24th and will set a goal for her to be discharged.

Bill Keller had a mix of negative results from a recent scan and a noticeable change in his condition. He is staying hopeful and prayerful through this challenging time. Bill appreciates our continuing prayers. Jarod visited him on July 19th.

Jarod visited Linda Milligan at home and visited by telephone with Pat Underwood and Marsha Ruffing. Each of them sends their love to the church family at St. Agnes'.

Sara Money had a same-day surgery on June 17th and is recovering at home. The surgery was successful and Sara hopes to be back at work in the next few days.

Steve Pearson got some encouraging news from a recent oncology visit. His scores are improving and he is meeting his goals. There's a possibility that he won't need radiation treatments in the fall. A final decision will be made later in the summer.

Tabitha Geer Scruggs had a successful surgery and is making a timely recovery.
