Casseroles For A Cause
Feeding Our Neighbors & Congregation

Our mission opportunity for September is Casseroles for a Cause. Today, Tuesday, September 15, at 2 p.m., we will have a casserole-building party where we will use a socially-distanced format to prepare and freeze the casseroles. Please remember that these casseroles are used in a variety of ways; to welcome new members to the church, support the food insecurity concerns at Rose Hill and provide a ready-made dinner to persons after an illness, surgery or passing. Actually, there is and should be no limit to who gets a casseroleit’s Epworth’s way of expressing love, caring and support. If you cannot make it to the party, pick up the provided recipe and large pan or two small pans from the mission cart. Make the casserole, return it to the church and place it in the freezer in the kitchen. This is a year long mission as well. Thank you!
UMCOR U. S. Disaster Response

Due to the recent tropical storm/hurricane damage in Texas and Louisiana, now with Hurricane Sally approaching, please consider giving from your heart to the victims of the storms. The Methodist Church has a disaster response arm called UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) that responds immediately to those affected. If giving through Epworth, mark your check, "UMCOR U.S." A check from Epworth will be mailed to UMCOR by the middle of September to offer our church's timely response. Thanks for considering this special request. Any amount of support that you can offer will be much appreciated.
