At times, juggling the demands of ministry can be completely overwhelming. Somehow pastors have to balance their family and ministry, as well as their own spiritual, physical and emotional health. No wonder many feel overloaded! Sometimes you must get away and focus on what's really important.
The Pastor's Juggling Act is a marriage getaway designed especially for pastors and their wives. This is a time to learn and grow, laugh and rest. You will have plenty of free time to be with your spouse and enjoy the beautiful North Carolina beach!
Cost is $99 per couple and includes lodging, conference materials and four meals.

This getaway will be led by the husband and wife team of Eddie and Janet Thompson. Together they have led marriage and family conferences for North Carolina Baptists, LifeWay and in conjunction with Focus on the Family.

Lots are needed for the SYBA Fair Ministry coming up the first week of September.
This is a fun way to get your group (Sunday School class, small group, Bible Study group, etc.) involved in the Fair Ministry. Make it a challenge to see who can collect the most.

The SYBA is in need of someone with a truck or van to deliver some boxes of books to Shelby Missions Camp in Shelby, NC. The books are being collected to be sent to Bible schools for refugees in Burma. We have just the type of books they are seeking, but we need a way to get them to this collection point. Sharon Forest Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC is seeking a worship leader/minister grounded in God's word and principles to fulfill a part-time music ministry position. The responsibilities and duties are to work closely with the pastor in planning the Sunday morning service, to lead the choir, praise team, and congregation in a spirit-filled worship time through song; using hymnals and multi-media to create a blended worship service. This person needs a working knowledge with the ability to read music in order to work with the pianist and teach the choir.
