With just a few weeks until the Back to School Bash on August 12, we currently have 543 students registered! Last year, we served more than 600 students and we are well on the way to exceeding that number. To serve everyone, we need supplies and volunteers. Please plan to help!
Volunteers: We appreciate those who have signed up but need more helpers! We have close to 50 signed up and last year we had 140! Volunteer slots are 7:30-9:00 am, 8:45 am-12:15 pm and 12:00-1:30 pm. Sign up here https://b2sb.net/volunteer/ or fill out the form available in the Gathering Area. There are jobs for all abilities! If you know of others who might like to volunteer at this community event, please encourage them to sign up!
School Supplies: Please bring items to the Gathering Area. List of needed items: https://b2sb.net/donate/ If you would like to make a monetary donation and let the Missions team do the shopping, be sure to indicate "B2SB" in the memo line.
Cookies Needed! Small (2 inch) sugar and chocolate chip cookies are needed for the Back to School Bash! They may be store bought or homemade, but no nuts please! If possible, please put 2 cookies to a bag prior to bringing them to the church. Bring cookies to the church Monday, August 7- Friday, August 11 prior to the event. Please sign up at the Back to School Bash table in the Gathering Area so we know how many cookies we will have!
Pray: Please continue to pray for this event, the students, families and volunteers!

Our first Coffeehouse for special needs adults will be on Friday, August 18. This event will offer social interaction for people with all abilities in our community. From 7:00- 8:30 pm, the Christian Life Center will be transformed into a "coffeehouse" with refreshments, music and fellowship in a safe and inclusive environment. This will be an ongoing event held on the 3rd Friday of the month, so we will continue to need volunteers and resources. Would you be willing to donate food, paper products or flowers for the tables? If you are interested in learning more about this outreach ministry or providing for some of our needs, please contact one of the coordinators, Katie Cardenas (919-219-1613) or Tracey Singleton (919-880-3167). All are invited to attend and witness firsthand the joy this event brings to our guests!
