Six years ago, I set a goal for our network to have 230 churches by the end of 2019. At that time, WNMMN had a total of 190 churches. To date, we have a total of 201 healthy churches to support Missionaries in the states and around the world.
There are several new church plants presently in the works. The model track of training up a pastor and acquiring a building to have an official church launch is evolving into a post COVID approach. The new approach is focused on discipleship. Jesus built his church by calling his disciples to follow him. It was some time later, before they became converts or were filled with the Holy Spirit. As a network we need to be mindful that planting a healthy church takes time and resources. Please consider making a commitment to give regularly to church planting through the district office so we can increase the number of churches in our district. More churches = more missionaries = more saved!
