The devastation from Hurricanes Fiona and Ian has continued to make headlines, with much of Puerto Rico's infrastructure impacted and entire towns along Florida's gulf coast destroyed. Holston Conference is responding by providing disaster relief in the form of hygiene and cleaning kits and providing monetary donations to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief. UMCOR provides immediate and long-term disaster response in affected areas. To make a gift for hurricane relief, you may designate a special offering to UMCOR-Disaster Relief on your check or the church's online giving page here. Thank you for your generosity to our neighbors!

Tintinnabular Joins Church Street’s Traditional All Saints' Worship | |
|
Since 2017, our Tintinnabular (bell banner) has been part of our church’s All Saints' Day commemoration. You may remember that for the past five years, small bells, bearing the initials of our deceased church members and loved ones, have been stitched along the long festive ribbons. Additionally, the full name of each deceased one has been penned in permanent gold ink on the satin streamers underneath.
Currently, 635 bells, bearing the names of those who are cherished by our church family, are attached. This year, because the banner’s increased weight renders it unwieldy, no more bells can be affixed; however, all names submitted this season will be permanently imprinted in gold on the interior streamers. On November 6, we worshipers shall stand for the procession to hear the tingling and to honor those whose lives have strengthened our faith.
+ If you have a friend or family member who has died since November 2021 whom you would like to include in this observance, please email the name to Dr. Vicky Shelton by November 2 at vickyannshelton@aol.com.
