Sunday Sanctuary Service 10AM • Coffee Hour 11AM

WEEK 2

Inspired by the many women of today who make a godly difference, and the women in the Bible whose faith and courage transformed
the world and continue to shape the way we live.

We will spend each Sunday diving deeper into their timeless truths and uplifting message.

Tuesday Morning Book Study Series

The Benefit of Doubt by Craig Groeschel

Join us September 8, 13 & 22 as we'll finish the last 3 chapters in the Fitzgerald Room.

Struggling with Doubt Doesn't Make You a Bad Christian—It Might Be What Saves Your Faith.

If you're secretly wrestling with questions about God, faith, or the Bible, you're not alone—and you're not broken.

In "The Benefit of Doubt", bestselling pastor Craig Groeschel shows how your hardest spiritual questions can actually deepen your faith, not destroy it. Instead of hiding from doubt, Groeschel invites you to bring it into the light—and watch what God can do with it.

September Book Study Series:

(Tuesday AM OR Wednesday PM)

Unafraid by Adam Hamilton

Starting in September – join us for a church book study of Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times. Together, we’ll explore the fears and anxieties that shape our lives and consider how faith can help us live with greater courage, hope, and trust.

Tuesdays at 10:30AM, starting September 29th, in Fitzgerald Room. Wednesdays at 2:30PM, in the Library.

Are you interested in a Small Group, Bible study or book study, but just can't fit another in-person meeting into your week?

Would an online forum (like Zoom) work for you?

JWUMC is considering starting a virtual group to accommodate folks who are busy during the day or just can't get out, but are comfortable using technology to meet. Probably on weeknights (but not necessarily).

If you're interested, please email Jenn Linton.

Community Events

The JWUMC Social Justice Team is excited to announce a new partnership with a local non-profit, Family Table Collaborative. We will be collaborating to bring fresh, chef-prepared meals to people who need them in Falmouth on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. At the same time we'll be helping rescue tons of surplus food from landfills and compost piles each year.

We need 2-3 volunteers from John Wesley at each distribution time, to help direct traffic through our parking lot.

To volunteer during distribution, please visit the Sign up Genius page here: signupgenius.com.

To learn how you or someone you know can sign up for meals, visit familytablecollaborative.org and click on "Request a Meal" at the top of the page.

You can also learn more about this new community partner through their website.

This new venture is an exciting opportunity to serve as Jesus' hands in our community.
