for a workshop led by the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado. We will cover their advocacy toolkit and discuss the role of faith in political action. The Interfaith Alliance of Colorado promotes justice, religious liberty and interfaith understanding through building relationships in order to educate, advocate, and catalyze social change. On September 29, Rev. Peter Sawtell, of Eco-Justice Ministries, will help us look at what the science says to both our hearts and our minds.
The October 6 session with Rev. Sawtell will touch on the range
of policies and transformations that might allow us to avoid the worst
of climate impacts. Join us for challenging and hopeful conversations.

Envisioning an Outdoor Sanctuary

Sunday, October 6 from Noon - 3 pm
Imagine an inviting, year-round outdoor sanctuary on our rooftop plaza. Intimate, contemplative spaces. Shade and plants. Space for gatherings. A columbarium for the respectful storage of cremated remains. Join us for a Design Charette, a fun brainstorming and design process, led by Mundus Bishop landscape architect Rachel Scarborough. Help design the last phase of the church’s rebuilding project. Afternoon includes family oriented model building and collage making. Lunch is provided.

Saturday, October 19 at 5 pm
This is an all-church event filled with fun and good food. It’s a great way to see old friends or get to know new folks in groups of six or eight. Dinner begins with appetizers for all at 5 pm in Plymouth Hall followed by visits to 2 homes, one for salad and entree and a second for dessert. The deadline for registration is Friday, October 4. Thanks also to all the volunteers who staffed our First Congregational Church table at OUTBoulder County Pridefest last Sunday. It takes many hearts and hands for these events to come together and we’re grateful for the efforts of all who make it possible for all of us to enjoy!
