Sermon:

"From Gratitude to Generosity:

Making a Lasting Difference"

Sacred Text:

2 Corinthians 9:6-9

A Word from Rev. Ray

Time is quickly passing and this Sunday we conclude our sermon series on going from Gratitude to Generosity which is a stewardship campaign theme. This Sunday we will look at "Making a Lasting Difference" 2 Corinthians 9: 6-9.

The journey from gratitude to generosity is a sacred unfolding. It’s the moment we realize that the treasure we hold isn’t meant to be clutched tightly—it’s meant to be shared. True reward doesn’t come from accumulation, but from alignment with a deeper reality: one where what we have becomes a blessing for others. And sometimes, the impact of that generosity ripples far beyond our own lifetime, echoing grace into places we may never see."

May your words carry grace, your actions reflect love, and your gifts be rooted in both gratitude and generosity. May you be blessed—not only in what you offer, but in the spirit with which you offer it.

Blessings,

Rev. Ray

Social Justice in Action

After such a successful event last weekend with an incredible turnout, it was decided to keep having this event weekly.

Join the Florida Interfaith Coalition and allies for a Freedom Vigil as we stand in solidarity with immigrant families and demand an end to the detention and deportation of our nonviolent, law-abiding immigrant community neighbors, siblings, and friends.

This moment matters because mass deportation policies are not only tearing families apart—they are setting dangerous precedents that threaten the constitutional rights of all Americans. When due process is denied to one group, the foundation of democracy itself is weakened. By coming together in public prayer, witness, and solidarity, we send a clear message: our communities believe in fairness, dignity, and accountability.

Wear your God Thinks You're Fabulous t-shirt and join members of our Social Justice Team on Sundays, from 4-5 pm at the Pinellas County Jail, located at 14400 49 St. N, in Clearwater.

The requested items for the month of November are as follows:

Pasta, Rice, Cereal, and Peanut Butter

If you are able to donate, please bring them with you on Sunday or during the week when the office is open, and place them in the donation cart in the foyer.

Upcoming Activities

We have a church workday scheduled for Saturday, November 8th. If you are interested in helping us paint and clean the church for the upcoming holidays, please sign up in the foyer or email melanie@churchstpetersburg.org. Lunch will be provided.

It provides an opportunity for you to make a covenant with God through King of Peace MCC in six areas of your life: Presence, Spiritual Growth, Prayer, Financial Support, Witness, and Service. This program is designed to help us grow as individuals and together as a Church.

Our theme this year is "From Gratitude to Generosity." Please carefully consider becoming a Covenant Keeper and return the Covenant Commitment portion to the Church by November 16th, 2025. You can put it in the offering basket, mail it to the church office (6085 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park, FL 33781) or email it to melanie@churchstpetersburg.org.
