CiTY Newsletter - June 1, 2023
|
|
Hello, CiTY Families,
For many people reading this, this is your first CiTY newsletter, as we have welcomed a record number of new families to the club in the first half of 2023, across our three main programs - travel, rec and special needs. A wonderful Spring season of CiTY's Special Needs program has concluded, rec wraps up with final games this weekend, and travel tryouts conclude this week.
CiTY teams had a very successful Memorial Day tournament weekend, with five teams making the finals in their division, and CiTY 2005 Boys Silver emerging as champions in their final tournament together as a team. In addition to on-field success, CiTY players and families continue to prove why CiTY is special off the field -- CiTY leadership is proud to have received feedback throughout the weekend from outside coaches, parents and directors about the classy behavior and good sportsmanship of CiTY teams.
CiTY Spring 2023 REC ended its biggest season yet last week, with almost 350 players, including five Howard County schools participating in the Get On the Bus program. This growth will continue as we prepare for CiTY Fall 2023 REC, so register now (see below). We are continuing our CiTY REC Referral program after more than 40 CiTY members received credits this past spring to use towards future REC and travel fees, just for referring their friends and neighbors!
CiTY Summer Soccer Camps are filling up but some spaces remain. Read below for details and registration.
CiTY Leadership and coaches will continue to be in touch with membership and teams, but as school ends and the soccer season wraps up, we hope that everyone can take the time to rest, slow down, and enjoy summer.
The CiTY Leadership team is available and welcomes questions, comments, and feedback, so don't hesitate to reach out.
Go CiTY!
