CiTY Newsletter - November 1, 2022

Happy November! As CiTY's fall season comes to a close and we look ahead to the winter season, we also find ourselves in the midst of the holidays. For us, this means another CiTY Season of Giving is on the horizon, and while we are fortunate to have our community's support year-round, this is the time that we give an extra push to make sure we can continue our CiTY Scholarship and free CiTY Special Needs programs. CiTY is also a proud partner of Get On the Bus (GOTB), a 501(c)3 currently operating in six states across the country, including here in Maryland, where the program originated. GOTB relies on grants and private donations to serve kids in Howard County and is currently raising funds for Spring 2023. CiTY's scholarship and special needs programs - along with its partnership with GOTB - are essential to the well-being of our club and teams, as we uphold our mission to enable any player that makes a team and wants to play to have that opportunity. Donations to CiTY can be made through our website or Paypal, and donations to GOTB can be made at www.gotbsoccer.org at any time.
As our younger travel teams finish out their fall season with upcoming tournaments, our older travel teams will begin their late fall/winter season. We wish our high school players success as many of them make their way through playoffs. It is an exciting time for many CiTY families!
CiTY Spring 2023 REC registration is open and we encourage you to sign up before the holidays to take advantage of savings. See below.
The CiTY leadership team welcomes the opportunity to hear from you. Please contact any of the team listed below to give feedback, ask questions, or with any issues or concerns.
Go CiTY!

CiTY Special Needs Clinic
Fall 2022
THANK YOU
A huge THANK YOU to all of our CiTY families that participated in the CiTY Fall 2022 Special Needs Clinic. Our players, mentors, volunteers and coaches all looked forward to this special event each Friday this fall. We finished the season with a fun, Halloween-themed clinic with a pumpkin patch and costumes. Terrific memories were made as we worked together to uphold one of CiTY's core philosophies - to serve players at every level. A special thanks goes to Carmen Juliano, Chris Goodman, and the CiTY Special Needs Committee who work throughout the year to continue this important CiTY program.

Planning for CiTY Spring 2023 Special Needs Clinic is already underway, and we hope to see everyone return, as well as many new faces! Player and volunteer registration will open in the coming months.
Donations are essential to keeping this important program a part of our community. CiTY is a 501(c)3 so all monetary donations are tax-deductible.

Get On the Bus (GOTB) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 that started right here in Howard County in 2018. GOTB has since funded over 1200 kids across the country to participate in an after-school program that emphasizes a healthy lifestyle and the importance of education, as well as play in a rec soccer league in their community.
|
|
Here in Howard County, GOTB players play in CiTY's Spring REC program, and we look forward to welcoming up to 100 players in Spring 2023. GOTB relies on grants and donations from the community to bring the program to these students in Title 1 schools, so when considering your giving for 2022, please remember GOTB! Donations can be made at www.gotbsoccer.org or through Paypal.
