Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year
There is nothing quite like the excitement of a new school year. Seeing friends again, meeting new ones, organizing supplies, finding classrooms, and meeting teachers are among the activities that electrify the campus, and the nervous energy felt by everyone makes the air crackle with vitality.
It’s a new beginning for all, and new beginnings signal hope for new successes.
The faculty and staff of Cicero Prep stand ready to provide the resources and opportunities for students to make this year successful; we desire nothing more than that our students be safe, happy, and successful in all that they do. This is what brings us great satisfaction and inspires us to keep working hard.
In that spirit, we invite students as well to approach the new year with a commitment to working hard, taking on ever greater responsibility, and along the way savoring the beauty, goodness, and joy of the moment.
Inevitably, it is painful to grow, but growth brings with it an increase in responsibility, and increased responsibility brings with it an increase in meaning. An increase of meaning, likewise, brings with it an increase in deep and abiding joy. So, the new year brings with it new and greater opportunities to create joy, to bring great-heartedness to bear upon ourselves, the people around us, and the communities of which we are a part.
