Submit your project to be featured by our District

If you are a 2030 District Building Member or Partner, your project could be eligible for an award, highlighted in our 2021 report, in our National 2030 District Network report, or in an upcoming newsletter! In addition to being highlighted, your project could receive important rebates or grant funding. Projects at all scales and stages of development across Transportation, Energy, Water, and Occupant Health are welcome to submit—whether being planned, underway, or completed. If you have made strides to reach your 2030 District goals, we want to know! Members and partners may submit multiple projects in multiple categories. Check last year's report here. The deadline for submissions is September 2nd.

The Cincinnati 2030 District receives Bell Charitable Foundation Grant!

Green Umbrella is a proud recipient of the Bell Charitable Foundation's inaugural Environmental Sustainability grant to fund the Cincinnati 2030 District work! The District has received funds to support our ongoing work in the Cincinnati region to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030. We are so thankful for this opportunity to continue to work alongside local 2030 Member, altafiber, and the Bell Charitable Foundation as they continue to invest in sustainability efforts throughout their operating territories.

The Cincinnati 2030 District Summit - What a Success!

The Cincinnati 2030 District celebrated our first District Summit event in June! This half-day conference brought together over 60 of our members and partners for networking, roundtable discussions, a professional partner expo, and happy hour in one invigorating afternoon. Panelists and sustainability leaders from across Greater Cincinnati shared stories about their carbon reduction goals, resilience strategies, and how they've benefitted from belonging to our District.

Announcing - The New Commuting Toolkit and Website

We heard you! Our 2030 District Members needed a way to learn about recommended resources and strategies to reduce occupant commuting emissions. Our team created the Cincinnati 2030 District HR Commuting Toolkit accompanying Commuting Website to support HR departments and commuters alike!

Historic legislation

The inflation Reduction Act that was signed by President Biden earlier this week, will help our country meet the 2030 District Goals. Green Energy Ohio had a great summary of the climate and clean energy provisions included.

Cincinnati 2030 District

at REBUILD

We're excited to announce that the Cincinnati 2030 District is a Supporting Sponsor of the 2022 REBUILD Conference at the Sharonville Convention Center on October 5th, 2022. REBUILD, formerly the High-Performance Buildings Seminar is a conference that equips leaders to build sustainable value in their organizations. The District's work will be featured in the afternoon panel discussion, "Pathway to 2030: Progress, Achievements, and What's Next for 2030 District", and will feature panelists from Kroger, the Contemporary Arts Center, Hamilton County, and Siemens Smart Infrastructure.

The District's health pillar and some members' work will be featured in a separate session— "Promoting Health & Wellbeing Through Indoor Air Quality Optimization"— featuring speakers from Kroger, P&G, and Heapy Engineering. It's an excellent opportunity for professionals pursuing PDH/AIA/GBCI continuing education credits.
