With August behind us, I'll present statistics for sales of single family homes in Hamilton County for the month. Here are the highlights:
Sales are up +4.6% for August 2020 compared to August 2019.
Inventory of active single family homes for sale is at 990.
273 new purchase contracts were signed in the past week.
There are 1570 homes that are currently pending sale.
What is the take home message? Inventory has increased somewhat since July and the number of new contracts signed is slightly lower. The competition among buyers has diminished slightly from what we saw in the middle of summer. If you are a buyer, it might be hard to notice the difference.
