Celebrating Culture & Diversity - Cinco de Mayo!
Delavan Celebrates Cinco de Mayo
May 4 | 4 - 8 pm
May 5 | 10 am - 8 pm

Phoenix Park Bandshell
111 E. Wisconsin St., Delavan

Come join us as Delavan celebrates Cinco de Mayo! It is a day of cultural pride, commemorating an unlikely victory, by an outnumbered Mexican Army, over French occupying forces on May 5, 1862. It is not the true independence day of Mexico, but is a time to come together as a community to celebrate freedom and share the culture and traditions of Mexico.

This year's festival will be at Phoenix Park Bandshell, featuring arts & crafts, food vendors offering many traditional Mexican items, entertainment, j alapeño eating contest, and a car show.

Friday, May 4, kicks off the festival with entertainment from:
DJ Tejano | 4 pm
Ced & Mike | 5 pm
Zueno Tejano | 7 pm

Saturday's entertainment includes:
Mariachis Latino | 10 am
DDHS Pep Band | noon
Combining Cultures Dance Co. | 1 pm
followed by the Cinco de May Queen crowning and
the j alapeño eating contest
Tejano Express | 3 pm
Grupo Alianza | 5 pm
Con Senti 2 | 6 pm

This is a time for everyone to come enjoy great food, music and dancing, and the sharing of cultures.

All proceeds go to supporting next year's festival and for a scholarship to a graduating DDHS student.
