OUR YEAR IN SPECIAL EVENTS:
- We presented 554 special events. These included some of our beloved series like our weekly Cinema for Kids series, monthly silent films with live organ accompaniment by Ben Model, monthly Pride Cinema series, live comedy and music in our Café, and more!
- We hosted the first annual Made in Huntington Film & TV Festival presented by the Huntington Cultural Affairs Institute and the Town of Huntington.
- Our Youth Advisory Board debuted their Filmmaker’s Workshop series for local young filmmakers to screen their work-in-progress shorts.
OUR YEAR IN THE SKY ROOM CAFÉ:
- We sold 5,400 liters of fountain soda, enough to fill 54 bathtubs.
- We went through about 16,400 tubs of popcorn, roughly 40,000 liters. That’s a literal ton of popcorn by weight!
OUR YEAR IN COMMUNITY:
- Our Film Arts in Education program served 1,352 students across the Island, with support from the Town of Huntington.
- We were responsible for an estimated $7,000,000 in spending in our local economy through visitors and activities that happens because of our programs.
- Our community members founded the Committee for Gender Awareness and Empowerment to deliver a limited series aimed at educating, elevating, celebrating, and mobilizing in support of individuals across the gender spectrum.
- We expanded our reach with the debut of a second theatre location at North Shore Towers in Floral Park.
- The Cinema continued its mission of bringing the best in film from around the world to Long Island audiences to lift spirits, foster community, and build empathy.
And this was all made possible by you!
All of us at the Cinema Arts Centre want to thank you for making 2025 possible for us. It's only through your continued support that we can deliver our mission and wonderful programming to Long Island.
The Cinema strives to be more than just a theatre for this community—we foster culture, dialogue, and connection for everyone who finds themselves entering our doors. That goal is only possible with your help!
