Welcome to Polk's Nature Discovery Center at Circle B Bar Reserve. At the Reserve we offer a variety of nature based activities for all ages. 

You do not want to miss out on any of the fun family friendly activities that we have planned for you. Sign up for a tram tour, a workshop and our Nature Fun Day or just get outdoors and enjoy Polk's Water, Wildlife, and Wilderness.

Due to elevated temperatures in the summer months, we will not be having any scheduled public tram tours.
Closed July 2 - 4
 
Polk's Nature Discovery Center will be closed Saturday, July 2- Monday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. Trails will remain open from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as usual. 
 
Circle B Bar Reserve property and the gate closes every night at 8 p.m.
 
Portable restrooms are available near the parking lot.



Some Trails Closed Due to Gators


This week, Parks and Natural Resources Director Jeff Spence announced that some of the trails at Circle B Bar Reserve will be closed for about three months. This is for the safety of our patrons AND our wildlife.
 
Alligators have nested along Alligator Alley, Marsh Rabbit Run and a section of the Fort Frasier-Circle B Connector Trail.

Four Seasons of Family Fun: Dirt Day #4
 
Come out and join us for Dirt Day - the Four Seasons of Family FUN series. We will be learning about invasive plants and animals that have made their homes here in Central Florida. Enjoy learning about them and we will also have a native planting session.
 
This is a FREE event for children ages 5-12.
 
Have your caring adult sign you up for this event on the web at eventbrite.com/e/dirt-day-4-family-fun-tickets-17195848245 . You will not want to miss out on the family fun day at Circle B Bar Reserve. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
This event is sponsored by Friends of the Parks and the Florida Master Gardeners.

Volunteer Workday (Hosted by Sierra Club)
 
The Sierra Club will be on site for a workday. We will be giving back to nature by planting native vegetation at Circle B Bar Reserve. Anyone who is interested is WELCOME.
 
Meet at 9:00 a.m. under the Polk's Nature Discovery Center sign at the nature center on the boardwalk. Bring water, gloves and sun protection.
