We could not do this important work without you.
As the year comes to a close, we are thrilled with the year’s successes. In 2022, Circle Tail’s 25th year, we continued in our mission to empower, educate, and inspire individuals and communities through professional training and partnership of highly-skilled service oriented dogs. Our success is dependent upon generous donors, volunteers, and partners, and we greatly appreciate your consideration of Circle Tail in your year-end giving. Please read more about this year’s impact below.

Circle Tail trains assistance dogs for people living with physical disabilities. Circle Tail provides these dogs and the training at no cost to the individual; it costs approximately $20,000 to fully train and partner a service/hearing dog, including follow-ups throughout the life of the team.
IN-HOME ASSISTANCE DOG PARTNERSHIP SPOTLIGHT:
BREKKY & JANICE

“Brekky and I have bonded with her joy for life and eagerness to please as my hearing dog. Even with hearing aids I have difficulty hearing and localizing sounds in the home. I rely on Brekky even more now for a sense of safety in the home for alerting me to the security alarms. I am thankful to Circle Tail for Brekky and for all the support and continued team training that they provide.”
HEARING DOG PARTNERSHIP SPOTLIGHT: LOKI & CINDY

“I’m a disabled veteran and hearing impaired. There is a feeling of isolation with not being able to hear common sounds and I’m not always aware of my surroundings. Since I’ve been partnered with Loki, she has been a huge blessing in my day-to-day quality of life. Circle Tail has a very professionally structured process and cares deeply for the dogs, it shows in the way the dogs pride themselves in their work.”
Circle Tail also trains and places facility dogs in schools and more. These dogs have gone through at least a year of specialty training and provide physical, social, cognitive, or emotional assistance to community members in Greater Cincinnati.
FACILITY DOG SPOTLIGHT:
MEG & GOSHEN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Meg was trained at Circle Tail and is now a Facilty Dog at Goshen Middle School; she has become an internet sensation and has been featured both on Good Morning America as well as in People magazine. Meg’s host and handler shares that, “students visit with Meg daily to help support their emotional and social needs. Since Meg began her job as a Facility Dog, she has provided over 1,200 hours of service to the students of Goshen.”
Circle Tail’s dogs are trained by our on-site trainers, volunteers, and through our rehabilitative Prison Program. Circle Tail’s Inmate/Canine Educational Training Prison Program began in September 1998 and promotes inmate life quality, as well as offers puppy and dog training opportunities to increase independence for persons living with disabilities.
PRISON PROGRAM SPOLIGHT:
DRESSEL & MISSIE at OHIO REFORMATORY FOR WOMEN

“I wanted to tell you how important the Circle Tail program is to me and the other women here at ORW. The beautiful thing about this program beyond helping others is that these dogs have helped me, too. Each and every dog has taught me something about life: patience, confidence in myself, understanding. My father told me some of his most proud moments he has of me are the stories I tell him about training my Circle Tail dogs.”
Contributions from donors like you ensure Circle Tail continues to provide life-changing dogs to individuals and facilities who benefit from their skills and comforting abilities. We are so grateful to you and every member of our community for providing the support required to deliver on our mission. Please consider a gift to Circle Tail this year; every dollar provides direct support for Circle Tail’s greatest needs. We could not do this important work without you.

Thank you for considering our request. We wish you and your family a happy and healthy end to 2022 and a bright 2023!
