"Aavin is my ❤️."
Amy and Aavin, partnered in 2023
Amy began her journey with Circle Tail in 2006 when she was partnered with service dog Cortez. Amy describes Cortez as her guardian.

After Cortez crossed over the rainbow bridge, Amy was partnered with Suela. Amy says, "Suela was a funny dog! The first week I had her I let her out to "hurry" (our cue for bathroom) in our fenced in yard. I was in the process of making dinner, so I went in to check on it and I heard Suela barking so back outside I go! I called and called her, but I could not find her. Panicked, I listened for her bark, and it sounded like it was above me. Sure enough, I looked up and she was on my roof chasing a squirrel! She was my comedian."

After Suela crossed over the rainbow bridge in 2022, Amy was partnered with Aavin. Amy says, "Aavin is learning well and mastering most tasks quickly. He is very loving and devoted to family. He knows our hectic schedules and he lets me know when he thinks I should slow my roll and rest. Aavin is my heart."

Volunteer Spotlight-Tonya
Tonya with Serenko
I have been interested in service dogs ever since I was a little girl and realized that dogs could be trained to help people. After my dog passed away a few years ago, I did some research about fostering puppies who grow up to become service dogs. That is when I found out about Circle Tail. I began fostering for Circle Tail over four years ago.

We have had a Circle Tail puppy or young dog in our house full time for the last four years. Having a puppy around all the time can be chaotic, but it is always fun.  I also volunteer on-site regularly, exercising puppies and dogs. These dogs are on an amazing journey to becoming service dogs or facility dogs, and it is so rewarding to have the opportunity to take part in that journey.
